I notice that that auction is out of Baltimore, and ends at six o'clock on a Sunday morning. What's up with that?

So to sum up, I purchased five packs total, at $2.25 each (incl. shipping), for a total of $11.25. I received five different issues - 2 Ellery Queens and 3 Alfred Hitchcocks. Here is what I received (with the number of copies): Ellery Queen Jan 07 (3) Feb 07 (2) Alfred Hitchcock Mar 07 (5) Apr 07 (2) May 07 (3) Weizie, did you receive any issues other than these five? If so, maybe we can work a trade! -

Three on two Kamchatka! Sorry I can't help, BM. Back in the day, a typical date for me was going to someone's house to play Risk. All the wives would do what their husbands told them to do, and my date would attack me! As I recall, the winner was usually the guy who had poor dice rolls and spent the entire evening watching everybody else having fun playing the game. Eventually everyone would kill off everyone else, and the poor guy who did nothing all night inherited the world.

The two packs that I received last week which were identical had the 3 dupes you mentioned. My second order (two packs) arrived today, and I received nothing I didn't get last week. The first pack had Jan 07 EQ and March and May 07 AH. The second pack had Feb 07 EQ and also had the same March and May 07 AH. This week I have read the March 07 AH, and I found very little in the way of mystery. I think that that is no longer the case. AH now advertises that each issue has one of each type of mystery. -
He's amazing, isn't he? Just curious: what's the DVD - is it the one with Mike Marshall? Yes, it came with the New Words Novas Palavras cd.

Clave, I have a DVD of Hamilton de Holanda, and he's amazing! The great ones make it look easy.

I've just heard a new album that I can recommend called A New Promise by guitarist Sheryl Bailey. Bailey is from Pittsburgh, and that's where this was recorded in concert. The album is her backed by the Three Rivers Jazz Orchestra. It is a tribute to Emily Remler, and includes three Remler songs. Her tone reminds me of later Jim Hall. I've never heard of her before, but this is her sixth cd. She is a professor at Berklee and the author of two instruction books. I found it at lala here: http://www.lala.com/...y/A_New_Promise

Thanks for posting this, Durium. I know very little about the subject, but I vote for Moacir Santos. I have his last album, called Choros & Allegros, and I'll plan to play it today.

I am no longer an eBay virgin.

By the way, I made this third auction for five days instead of seven. Maybe the items I am doing now for practice are too trivial to make a difference, but I have the impression that you don't want to end an auction on a Friday or Saturday. Is that right? -

mellowT, I like your idea. for my next trial auction, I will experiment with having six photos. Well, now I need your help again. I've just started a third auction, the purpose of which was to display a number of photos as mellowT suggested. But instead of getting the photos displayed below the text, which I have seen in other auctions, the photos are all over by the main photo, and you have to click on them to see them. Please take a look at this, and tell me what you think. I suppose it's not asking too much of a Mosaic buyer to click on a photo, but I would prefer the photos to be right there where you can't miss them. Does anyone know how to do this? http://cgi.ebay.com/3-AA-BATTERY-CASES-EACH-HOLDS-UP-4-COLORS-/130385635459?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e5b96e883 -
We live in a time when artists release an album only once a year or even less frequently. Laurie's releasing of these multi-disc sets increases the output to the level of the time when two or three albums (that is to say 120 minutes of music) a year was the norm!

I've got a bid on the first auction! This is an eBay Seller who it looks like buys a lot on eBay as well. I guess he bids the minimum on lots of things planning to resell them later. It's great that I will sell something so that I can have a positive feedback record when I sell the Mosaics. -

Good idea, Brad. At Sandy's suggestion, I have spent $50 at Bags, Unltd. for packing materials, which I intend to pass on in the form of handling charges. -

Thanks Dan. I guess that means that if a Buyer doesn't put the item on his watch list, he will probably never go back to it. -

Believe it or not, at 40 years of age Jeff Garcia, though primarily looking for a job in the NFL, is willing to consider rejoining the Stampeders. http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Columnists/Francis/2010/04/20/13658031-qmi.html

There is an article about shaving in the new May issue of Money Magazine. An internet friend of mine was interviewed for it. I'm looking forward to picking up a copy.
