It looks like the Dragon set is back in print (did it ever go out of print again?). I saw it at a local indie store for $55, so I think I'll finally get it. Everyone here seems to agree that the sound is good.

I was disapointed by the selection in Amoeba when I was there last fall(other than the Monk Mosaic box and the Coltrane Atlantic LP box, which were both much too expensive for me to buy).

my wife likes it. I've seen a couple episodes with her; seems like your standard cop/crime drama. Nothing special about it.

I've never been able to appreciate this one. Very dense (I actually like a lot of those "lulls"). I need to go back and listen again.

It would be a start to completely outlaw them. I can think of no reason why anybody needs a gun. If people MUST hunt, well, at least rifles are harder to conceal.

So what would your suggestion be? How about outlaw guns? Why do people need to buy guns?

IIRC, you are a King Crimson fan? You might enjoy Tool, then. Yeah, I know all about Tool. Other than the similarity in guitar and drumming to KC, they haven't done much for me yet. I can see why others like them so much, though-lots of noise! Just not for me.

I thought I'd like the Mule, but what I have heard so far (the 4-disc live set) hasn't made me want to hear any more. I don't have any idea what those other bands are. A few guys I work with are really excited about this festival, and the music they listen to is that angry-young-man screaming over heavily processed, badly played modern metal stuff that is popular today, so I doubt I would like much of that. I used to like Wilco when they did country; did they play last year when Son Volt was there? That could have been interesting.
