  1. I have not been a fan of Pujols the personality since 2001, when my wife and I travelled to St Louis and saw two Cardinals games (they played the Giants). During BP of the Saturday evening game, we were down at the railing beside right field, along with at least 10-12 kids and some other adults, getting autographs from McGwire, LaRussa, and some of the relievers, when Albert walked by. All of the kids were screaming at him to come over and sign something for them, begging him to, and he just kept on strolling by, with a smirk on his face and not even a glance over at all of these kids. Just didnt seem like he gave a crap about these kids with that attitude. And this was when he was a rookie!!
  2. Have a great birthday Chris!
  3. well, I'm shocked like everyone else. during the last weekend of the season i thought the tigers were done and would be out early. amazing how they turned it around. i wonder when the rest of the baseball world will start showing them some respect? that is two series in a row that a coworker has been unable to use his tickets. he had two for game 4 of the ALDS and game 5 of the ALCS!
  4. I can't wait to hear this ProjeKct 6 material. DGM live should have some of this up for download soon, hopefully. I'm expecting it be at least somewhat like ProjeKct 2, which also had Belew on V-drums, Fripp ripping on guitar, and Trey Gunn on touch guitar.
  5. Backed in?? they won 95 games!!
  6. it is when you beat the Yankees. starting with a come from behind win in NY, after being swept by the Royals and being declared the underdog when they won only two less games than the Yankees in the regular season. Oh, and when it's your first playoff win in 19 years!
  7. One down.....now if only someone could eliminate the Mets!!
  8. Crimson.
  9. I think Joe Morgan was about to cry last night. He couldn't hide his disappointment that the Yankees were being shut down like that. Even on Baseball Tonight this morning, he was still upset they lost. No bias Joe!!
  10. Nice work Tigers!! Do it one more time!! Now if only LA could beat the Mets. Wouldnt it be great to have a New York-less playoffs??
  11. Bonus material not on the box?

    Wynton Marsalis

I'd rather listen to Bowie any time
  13. you were at the Last Waltz? Could you see the snowball hanging out of Neil Young's nose? And was everyone in the Band audible in the theater?
  14. A colossal collapse. They won, 95, 96 games? The lost 21 of their last 50! I don't know if they overachieved all season and simply fell back to where they should have played all season, or if they choked at the end, or what, but that was absolutely a terrible way to finish an otherwise great season. Man, even the Braves never choked like that!!
  15. Well, at least the Red Sox didn't make it!! . Hopefully the Tigers can wake up and start pitching again once they hit NY-maybe Verlander is rested enough to find the strike zone again. Why is Jones STILL the closer??
  16. wow, the tigers truly suck
  17. Nice review, Lazaro. That first number was Translinear Light. Where were you sitting? By the way, I agree with you; WEMU is one of the best things about living in Ann Arbor. It's the only thing I listen to on radio other than the Tigers. Did you see Linda Yohn also?

    Billy Joel

Why anyone would ever listen to BJ on purpose is something I have never been able to figure out.
  19. Good show last night. I will be getting the Translinear Light CD now after hearing some of it live. Alice sounds like she just floats across the keyboard. She seems like a very nice, gracious lady; when she got a standing ovation as she walked out on stage she seemed surprised and shocked. Nice too when she smiled at her son when he played the opening notes to Impressions. As far as the sound, I could barely hear Haden, and Ravi was hard to hear at times too (I was on the main floor, row H in the middle). Roy Haynes is amazing! He makes me feel old! He was the star of the show, even more so with his velvet pants! I didn't know Coltrane had a daughter, too. Does she play any instrument? (She presented the scholarships to the two U of M students). I have two questions (probably obvious to everybody else, but not me): does Ravi have any of his father's stage mannerisms (i.e., did John move around on stage a lot, bending and twisting, etc, like Ravi?)? And was that John's tenor? Anyone know?
  20. I've never heard Ravi and I haven't heard Alice's latest CD, so I don't know what to expect, but I'll be there.
