  9. I was thinking of getting Valleys on vinyl. So I checked out the sales on ebay and well.. look at this description... Thanks to the legacy and material he left behind, even 40 years after his death we're able to enjoy something new and exciting from this influential guitar icon. "Once the original analog tapes had been transferred to digital using the Burl Audio A/D converters at 24 bits and 96kHz, Kramer mixed Valleys through a vintage API console using an array of vintage tube gear, as well as the latest ProTools plug-ins from Waves for cleaning, de-noising, and de-clicking. He also used Waves' EQ and compressors and mixed to 1/2" tape at 15ips with Dolby SR noise reduction." - Robert Baird, Stereophile Magazine, April 2010 Features: • Double 180 Gram Virgin Vinyl Audiophile LP Pressing • All Analog Remaster from the Original 2-Track Master Tapes • Remastered by Jimi's Original Engineer, Eddie Kramer • Cut by George Marino at Sterling Sound • "All Analog Remaster"???? What about "transferred to digital using the Burl Audio A/D converters at 24 bits and 96kHz, Kramer mixed Valleys through a vintage API console using an array of vintage tube gear, as well as the latest ProTools plug-ins from Waves for cleaning, de-noising, and de-clicking." ??? Though I have to admit the part that worries me most is the use of "Waves' EQ and compressors" and "Dolby SR noise reduction".
  10. I can't believe the PMA isn't going to have a separate admission for that event. The museum will be MOBBED. I'm thinking I'll cut out of work early that day just to get a good seat.

  23. :tup I believe that if, at the end of it all, according to our abilities, we have done something to make others a little happier, and something to make ourselves a little happier, that is about the best we can do. To make others less happy is a crime. To make ourselves unhappy is where all crime starts. We must try to contribute joy to the world. That is true no matter what our problems, our health, our circumstances. We must try. I didn't always know this, and am happy I lived long enough to find it out.
  24. Happy 40th John.
