I thought "Love Letters" was one of last years best cds. I'd certainly go along with "Out Of The Afternoon" too.

I don't believe there's been a remaster. I'd pick these up if you don't have them. Great music.

Maybe it was the Astoria Finsbury Park? Both venues are in North London. It was forty years ago after all! Strange, I can remember the sound perfectly.

The Taylor gig is scheduled for broadcast on 17 December. Braxton on 24th.

Definitely January/February. I saw the band at the Gaumont Kilburn. I had problems getting home in the several degrees of frost and with snow on the ground. The band was something else. The sound of that sax section opening A Train was unforgetable.

Bill was listed to play with Cecil Taylor last evening at the London Jazz Festival sharing the bill with Anthony Braxton. Anyone get to see/hear the concert?

It's a very nice set, excellent booklet showing the original artwork. Well worth having if you like west coast jazz.

I still have the vinyl but this one comes pretty near the bottom of the Mobley list.

I've liked all the Pacific Jazz recordings I've heard. I'm going to have to get the Mosaic set before very long. Not so keen on the Pablos though.

My UK vinyl of Group Therapy on the DJM label has five tracks by the Moody/Farmer band and three by a Thad Jones/Moody Quintet also from Scepter.

"Beatrice" was the highspot for me. Here's a photo I took during the Southampton gig, this one isn't too spoiled by camera shake. Drummer Anthony Cole is the tenor player.

Juba Lee and the first ESP album are the ones.
