  1. Up watching Airplane II.
  2. Just finished watching Spielberg's War of the Worlds.
  3. Me neither because I don't have the Tennis Channel Actually, I think you're right about Venus Van Basten. She has been spotty and patchy throughout this entire competition and maybe the leg injury is adding something to that, but there's no question that she was outplayed by Kim.
  4. Love that show.
  5. Yeah, I'm glad Kim pulled through too. I've been a fan of hers for a long time, and what makes this even more interesting is that Clijsters is a pretty dangerous player right now since she is in great shape and in good form. Maybe Venus thought that she would be out-of-sorts being off the tour for two years, but that was hardly the case, although the second set doesn't support that claim. It would be nice to see her win this title again and most certainly that would put her near a ranking in the 20's. And did anyone catch the rumor that based on Clijster's successful return to tennis, that Justin Henin is considering coming out of retirement and returning to the game? That would be awesome!
  6. Another BBQ, more tennis and another poker tournament.
  7. Man, this match has taken a bizarre twist with both of them trading six-love sets.
  8. So when is the match starting between Clijsters and Venus?
  9. Man, Clijsters looks nothing like she had a baby and took a couple of years off. She is totally out-playing Venus at the moment.
  10. make that a double break lead -_-
  11. Clijsters just consolidated her break.
  12. Happy Birthday Sidewinder! Enjoy those Tubbs lps
  13. Nadal two sets to one, but both Almagro and Nadal are receiving treatment, but it seems that they're both better now.
  14. In a somewhat related story http://www.usopen.org/en_US/news/articles/....html?promo=top Yeah, WOOOOOAAAAHHH. Too big servers going head to head....and Isner took out the Rocket??? I had a good feeling about John when he joined the US Open series two years ago, when he was fresh out of U of Georgia and I knew he had potential when he took a set off of Federer that year. But my guess was he was going to go far.
  15. My coverage ended with CBS at 7pm and I don't have the Tennis Channel . Having my labor day cookout tonight and I got busted out first out in my own poker tournament tonight.
  16. Kid wonder Oudin earns another upset.
  17. Nadal takes it in four. Looked like a horrific mismatch at the beginning, but turned out to be one of my favorite matches so far. Hats off to Keifer for turning the match around and giving Nadal a run for his money.
  18. Looks like I'm going to be up watching tennis for awhile.
  19. Kiefer's chance at winning this set can be largely blamed on his low 1st serve percentage, which is around 30%. Keifer's got to improve that, or he's over.
  20. Nadal breaks Keifer and is now up two sets to one.
  21. Takes the second set 6:3!!!!!!!!!! and three all in the third! Kiefer's playing some really good tennis now.
  22. His knee is taped from a minor injury. Can't explain the design of it though. However, Kiefer game has made a complete 360 degree turn. NOW we have a match!
  23. Yeah, no kidding. Dent's been out for a couple of years, and its nice to see him having a good run at the Open so far. FWIW, the Dent v. Navarro match was WAY more interesting then the Nadal v. Kiefer match, although it seems that Kiefer is playing a little better in the second set.
  24. Finished watching Casino.
  25. Still up Doesn't help that I have the next two days off.
