  1. Haven't listened to them since "Flood" (great concert BTW) but Linclon is their masterpiece IMO. But speaking of children's songs, I could've swore I heard Weezer in a Noggin video (which was animated). Maybe this is the direction that certain rock bands are going in (at the very least Alice Cooper appeared on the Muppet Show and REM appeared on Sesame Street).
  2. Thanks everyone, its been an incredible blast so far! ~Bill
  3. Wasting time in FYE, while my wife shopped for clothes, and stumbled across a sealed copy of Joe Chambers' Phantom of the City for $1.97! Guess it wasn't a total waste of time
  4. Going to go see Metallica tonight...wish me luck
  5. The SACD was released in 1999, I think, and that appears to be OOP.
  6. My edition of the studio album is dated 1996, and it seems to be in print at Amazon for $7.99, however the soundtrack's OOP but can be had pretty cheap used.
  7. Consistently 60's and clouds; my kind of weather!
  8. Yeah, nice 'free' haul Tom Second those Peppers, nice stuff there.
  9. Here is the beginning of 'Straight no Chaser' where you can see Monk dancing in circles: Enjoy!
  10. That is awesome! Thanks for (re)posting. Absolutely love Monk's music and I never get tired of it, ever. HB Thelonious, you're truly one of a kind!
  11. Cold, cold cold. Leaves all over the front yard that I just don't feel like raking.
  12. Several reasons I think. One, the cd market is in a slump; two, EMI is in a slump; and three, Tom Cat may not have met the minimum sales quota to stay in print. All of this equals deletions. If I recall, Jackie's titles took a pretty bad hit. A real pity. But that's what's going on there, I believe. Concerning Tom Cat, I don't recall any of the tracks being particularly memorable except for Riggarmortas, which is really a standout track, IMO; its espeically that track that keeps me holding on to this date.
  13. The RVG list from the reissue thread.
  14. Hi there. Here's a listing of all the RVG's: http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...54947&st=15 and I know there's a Conn list floating around somewhere. I would suggest using the search engine in either Recs or Reissues and it should come up. To answer your question concerning sound, I think practically everything from the '94 issues (that was RVG'd) benefited from the RVG treatment, and Hill's Smokestack in particular from the '95 issues was an improvement by a mile. However there are other Conns, imo, that sound fine to me such as Dial S for Sonny. Anyway, welcome to the board.
  15. Couldn't find anything in the Plain Dealer. Did he die in Cleveland? Is that his birth name?
  16. That would be sad news. A quick search shows none of his leader dates (date?) readily available on cd. I'll search local news and see if there's anything listed in the obits.
  17. Another date with Jordan and Morgan that I really enjoy is "Baltimore '68" on Fresh Sound, but it seems to be OOP and its going for an absurd $155 at the Amazon marketplace. If you can find a copy at a sane price I'd say get it. It has Ed Blackwell on it too.
  18. The Bad Plus' "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Iron Man" suit me fine. Lonnie Smith's Eleanor Rigby's cool too.
  19. Hope you had a great one MG!
  20. Have a great one!

  23. Can I ask why he owes you $400? Was it an advance or something like that? BTW, happy birthday Bill Dixon
