  1. What a sloppy fifth set. Rafa wins it 6-2. There's little question that not only has Nadal improved as a tennis player but has improved his game on all surfaces. A well-deserved win.
  2. Wow, another epic match seems to be underway and if Fed can break Nadal here, were going to a 5th !!!!!!!!
  3. 1st set to Rafa RFed fan, in case you haven't noticed
  4. Agree on Hill and Passing Ships is fitting; it is indeed HEAVY. Gotta get some Jackie in there, maybe something off of Let Freedom Ring. With the new Moncur RVG's maybe something from Evolution as well. Sounds like it'll be a blast, keep us informed as to how it goes.
  5. Well a bad start for RFed, and Nadal won the opening break but he seems to be back on track and he's now he's in position to break back!
  6. Less than an hour to go and counting
  7. Just finished the Serina v. Safina match and Serina blasted Safina in the first set. Its nice to see that she's focusing on her game and that she successfully defended her title-10 grand slam titles now! That's pretty impressive. This is Safina's second grand slam final appearance and I'm impressed, but she needs some more experience under her belt in order to have a better showing under the big lights, but I think she will be a formidible talent in the future. Going to try and stay up and watch the Fed v. Nadal match at 3:30 am-I'm really looking forward to this one!
  8. A great one-one of my favorite Hill's!
  9. Can anyone tell me more about his Bethlehem date (very briefly mentioned here)? I'm a Teagarden newbie and own absolutely nothing by him. I'm worried about the singing although it seems everyone enjoys it here. So what kind of music is it? Is it jazz or dixieland? I can get the Beth date for $10, should I take the plunge? Comments are more than welcome -HG
  10. YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!
  11. Hey thanks for posting this. I never had Captain Marvel in my sights, but this band smokes! Gonna keep my eye for it. Picked this one up a few days ago, and I totally disagree with Penguin's critique; this is a very very good 70's Stan album and the electric piano doesn't bother me at all. In fact, La Fiesta, I think, wouldn't work well at all with an acoustic piano. The rest of the album simmers down a bit but wow, La Fiesta is on fire!
  12. UHHHHHHHHHHHHHGH. DVR only recorded up to the beginning of the 5th set, but WOW this is excellent tennis of the highest quality.

    John Tchicai

It's a good record, but I could do without LeRoi Jones' contribution (on one track). I wish Tchicai's solos were longer. Yeah, I really dig this record too and its always a pleasure to hear Milford Graves! Roswell as usual is on the case and I really find his dixieland roots to be a surprisingly good fit in free-form jazz.
  15. You say you DVR'd it? I'm not saying a word then.
  16. Ok guys, I will. I DVR-d it so I have it saved and I will go back and watch where you guys suggested. My wife, who's a Nadal fan, just wanted the bottom line, so I looked ahead to tell her who won. But I watched the first two sets and I was raelly impressed with how well Verdasco was playing. I'm think he may make it the top ten if he keeps playing at this caliber.
  17. Wow. Haven't listened to Heavy Sounds in a long, long time. Will give Shiny Stockings a spin.
  18. More sad news RIP
  19. Ok, ok, I cheated and see that Nadal won, so back to business: NADAL V. FEDERER !!!
  20. OK, I feel like I'm dominating the 'What are you Watching' thread and feel like all tennis should be redirected here So I know some of you know the outcome of the Verdasco v. Nadal match so don't say anything yet, since I DVR'd it and I'm watching it as it unfolds, so give me a few hours . Anyway, its nice to see Roger in good form again and in position to tie Pete for 14 grand slam titles. At least he surpassed him in money earned
  21. Don't tell me a thing! I DVR'd it and I'm watching the second set right now! SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
  22. Yeah, I asked this question in the CD-R thread concerning BN's, in the reissue forum, about whether these CD-R's were going to seep into the general market and get passed off as legit copies. It is definitely a mis-representation of the said product and the seller needs to refund your money immediately.
