Thanks Eric and Gary! slsmcgrew, Best wishes with your upcoming parenting duties! I'll keep your son and daughter in-law in my prayers.

I hope you guys don't mind this, but here's my son back when he was 6 months old (He's 2 years old now) eating solid food for the first time. Hmmmmm what are you doing? This isn't my bottle. Smells pretty good. I'm getting tired of that formula. This tastes pretty darn good! Give me more! NOW! I can't get enough of this stuff!

Good point, Conn! I think my brain is turning to mush. But I can talk just like Shaggy!

Congratulations Jim! Yeah, Captain Feathersword... He's a strange cat. The monotony of the Wiggles is pretty tough to take. Sometimes, I really would rather watch paint dry. Another thing my son loves to watch is that live action movie version of Scooby Doo. I have watched that move so many times that I actually can recite the dialogue. I freaked me wife out the other day with this ability. Zoinks!

Does Coltrane play on that? B) I wish.....

I hear you! I spend some time on the college football bulletin boards. Let me tell you how those Ohio State fans get to me.... I have a long standing rule to root for any team playing USC. I've developed the same rule for Ohio State. (sorry to any Buckeye fans out there....) -
Gary, I actually think Barney would be worse. You have my sympathies. You make a good point about life missing something. Being a parent has been the toughest thing I've ever done, yet it is the most fulfilling. I've experienced the whole range of emotions. Another one of my 2 year old's faves is the Wiggles. You probably have them in England, since they're an Australian export. I know all their songs. They're going through my head right now.

What is your Faith???? (or lack thereof)

Thanks Jim! I'm glad you like it. I'm starting to wonder if this religion quiz is sponsored by the Quaker church. There sure seem to be lot of us scoring as Quakers. Hmmmm.... -

Jim, here's your Liberal Quaker image: -
Same goes for me. Though, I do miss having the freedom to pop an LP on the turntable and sit back and listen.... Instead, I watch endless DVD showings of Dora the Explorer.... Aw Man!....

I just looked into what Orthodox Quakers believe. Even though I scored 100% on the test being one, I sure don't agree with some of their key principles. Moose, your answer is GREAT! -
We'll be at home on Thanksgiving (me, my wife and 2 year old son). My son is truly is a monkey, so we can't go to my Mom's house because he causes too much trouble. My wife is going to cook a little turkey, but on Friday, we'll be going to my Dad's house for a real Thanksgiving dinner.

They do a great job of distracting us in America, don't they? Nice observation, Couw! -

Complete Jack Johnson Sessions?
AfricaBrass replied to Tjazz's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
That's great, Greg! It really is a great set. I've purchased all the other Miles' sets, but I just couldn't justify the purchase (especially with so many alternate takes). But I finally rounded up the funds and gave in. I find I'm enjoying the alternate takes and their progressions, the same way that I enjoy the alternates on the Sam Rivers Mosaic set. What I'm saying is that I find enough variation and new ideas to remain interested. That McLaughlin is a mo-fo! -
Thanks Chuck! I like the "lifestyle adjustment to sanity" concept. I'm going to think of my diet that way.

My wife and were watching TV one night and there was a Joe Cocker concert on PBS. We were laughing about the fact that he sang his biggest hits early in the show. I could just see being at the concert and turning to her saying "He's done a Little Help From My Friends", "She Came In Through the Bathroom Window" and "You Are So Beautiful" - Are you ready to go?" "Yup!" It kind of reminded me when I saw Paul McCartney in 1993. The place was packed when he was doing the Beatles and Wings numbers, but when he started doing the material from his newest album, there was a constant stream of people going to the bathroom, etc...

Contentment pounds? I call it flying frying pan padding. I'm on a diet too. I'm doing Weight Watchers. I've done Atkins before, but I'm a carb freak. I appreciate everyone's stories. They're very inspiring to me.

I'm sorry too, for cracking jokes. This is a pretty sick situation.
