First of all, thank you very much Alexander for this excellent BFT. This will definitely shed light on many artists I am not familiar with. THEME--Uh, piano maybe? 1. Definitely unchartered territory for me. Nicely played, and I like 'em slow. No clue. 2. More unfamiliar digs. I can appreciate it. 3. Almost too sentimental, but progresses into a striding narrative of sounds that I like. Can't place anyone. Much newer than the first two, I would guess. 4. Like 1 & 2, outside of my scope. Well executed. Older style than the time frame my tastes are centered on. 5. Now this I like, and I think I've heard it. A standard perhaps. Now I think I have it but no names are coming to mind. Oh yeah, this is going to bug me until I start reading the guesses--I bet somebody nailed it. 6. Holy smokes, now these are some virtuoso ebony-&-ivory-ticklin' skills on display, and the bass and drums set a sizzlin' pace! Awesome stuff. Unfortunately for me I haven't the foggiest idea who this might be. 7. Dropping down to a slower gait (not that there was much choice), this is a beautiful little two and half minute composition. I can't say I know who it is. 8. Nice transition from the previous track. Fascinating composition, as it progresses the pianist makes decisions that greatly detour from what I expected based on how the song was beginning. It is as if the song is in transition between two styles, if that makes any sense. Probably not. 9. Once again, Alexander drops off my radar. Man, this pianist has some serious skills like the one on Track 6--though I like Track 6 better. 10. Not bad. Similar to Track 3. 11. Oh great, another one I know I've heard and think I have--I just can't put a name with it. 12. Wow, now we're really goin' slow. I really like what happens about 52 seconds in. Another short gem. 13. Will have to subject to repeated listens, sounds boring to me for some reason. 14. Lots of 'room' for the pianist to work his magic on this one. An entertaining track. 15. A solemn sad song is a perfect finish to this fine BFT. I feel similar about this one as I do about Track 7. Thanks once again Alexander. Sorry I didn't make any guesses. I am looking forward to reading the other responses.

Wow, guess I should check the numbers first! Maybe they should give it to 'Melo outright--'Melo's jumper is so smooth. How many assists is LeBron averaging? Both had serious dunks and both have serious game. Barring injury these two will do nothing but get better and better.

Co-Rookies Of The Year. LeBron's individual numbers are better, 'Melo has helped his team to a better record in a tougher conference.

There is a compilation under the title Senor Soul What It Is Y'All on BGP Records that proclaims itself the first incarnation of WAR. I'm not sure how/when Eric Burdon got with them, but I like the results with or without him.

Cute first quarter so far. Lakers can't buy a call. Kobe has yet to show up.

I'll be pullin' for Mickelson today. C'mon, he can't choke every time...can he?

I bet Fox would ragdoll Christie in a straight up fight. I don't fear any team from the East, not the Pacers, not the Nets, not the Pistons...none of them. LeBron/Melo co-Rookies Of The Year Big game for the Lakeshow. Sactown can't feel too good coming off a loss to the lowly Suns.

I remember sending Alexander a PM, but maybe my mind is playing tricks on me. Alexander, was I on the list? If not, and someone near Los Angeles can provide me a copy, I'd appreciate it.

Happy Birthday Evan! Let me know if you still want to trade those cdrs we talked about. B)

How does one refrain from buying CDs?? Not by doing what I did today--spent 87 of the 90 dollars in my wallet, not leaving enough money for lunch. My ears are hungrier anyway.

Left the plastic in the wallet and did not order anything from Mosaic like I want to. -_-

How good is this? Can't speak for Mike, but to my ears "Like It Is" alone is worth the price of admission.

Here's my old thread, long neglected. I need to fire up the scanner! http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...52&hl=noj's I love to paint jazzers, they make for very fun subject matter. I especially like the drawings you have done that have the highest contrast. Your technique is really nice.

I trust everyone's tastes here. I've come to know who has tastes similar to mine, but generally speaking I would take any Organissimo regular's word for it. I have built my collection on recommendations here. The cats in the Funny Rat thread, on the other hand... This thread is exactly what I asked for the first time I showed up on the BNBB and decided to start asking questions.

Nice drawings Matt. I also draw and paint so I share your interest, but you obviously know more about webdesign than I do based on what I saw at your site. Wish I could help you out.

Put it on vibrate.

No track listing, but apparently this dude has just about every song that was ever famously sampled on vinyl (if his 'no boots or compilations/only two turntables play' claim is true).

The Diesel goes for some revenge against Big Yao and the Rockets tonight. Did anyone catch this footage? http://www.milkandcookies.com/links/10716/details/ Click on the "dunk contest" link. This kid is only 18.

so now you're bringing up gray hair?... Someone take this shovel from me, I'm burying myself here. Sheesh, no wonder I'm single. How much do you weigh? Sorry, couldn't resist.
-
Sorry Rachel, I broke a cardinal rule of interacting with a woman. Did I mention I have gray hair coming in and I'm 28?

You guys are my oldest brother Tom's generation. He loves all the metal to this day. Everything from RATT to Dio to Queensryche to Ozzy to Iron Maiden to Judas Priest, and all the way to even cornier hair bands like Poison and Whitesnake, clear through Tesla, Van Halen... Really, this is my original music exposure. I used to play their records and tapes all the time when I was a kid. I remember Tom got his '66 Mustang broken into and a few hundred tapes stolen along with his car stereo--while he was parked at one of those huge venues, like Monsters Of Rock or something. Man was he pissed.
