  1. Congrats Dan and BoSox fans. Condolences SS1 and Cleveland fans, I was pulling for you guys.
  2. Dusty already dropped it in the mail, they're awesome.
  3. I'd love to live in Carpinteria, CA, just south of Santa Barbara.
  4. I'd help myself and family members get out of debt and buy my own place.
  5. I just ordered the last one they had in stock. What a deal! Goodbye emusic cdrs.
  6. Thanks for clearing up that rule for me, Marty. I thought it should have been a home run by virtue of hitting the yellow line.
  7. Happy Birthday, Chris!
  8. No hope to win the title=feces. I like winning. Winning is good.
  9. Inspiring. Thanks Chris.
  10. Even so, I think we're seeing the last days of Kobe in Lakerland. What's become obvious is that he is a great player, but can't raise the game of the players around him, so for Kobe to get that championship, he has to go to a team that's already good -- Dallas would be the ideal fit for him. Given all his talents, there is something not "there" about his game and his approach to teammates. There is the insistent need to have the ball, giving Kobe the rock is like throwing it into a Black Hole, it never comes back out. His teammates seem to have a disdain for him that isn't there for other superstars; plus, he needs to be the center of attention at all times. The Lakers would be better off without Kobe, get some good players, and start over again trying to build a championship team. Did you see the way Kobe played with Team USA? He knows how to share the ball. I agree he'll be out of Los Angeles soon.
  11. Kobe was interviewed on ESPNews and denied having any knowledge. He said to speak to Dr. Buss and Mitch about it, and added that he's just busy getting ready to play. Apparently he didn't "clean out his locker" as reported, but straightened up the contents (what's in that thing, anyway?).
  12. Hell, they traded Shaquille for shit, maybe they'll swap Kobe for crap.
  13. Often thieves are dope fiends starving for a fix, so they only steal what they can quickly liquidate to get cash for their junk. A friend of mine has tons of high end electronics in his home which he uses for his job--but when a thief broke in the dirtbag only stole DVDs and CDs. My friend ended up investing in a very tight home security system to ensure it doesn't happen again. It makes me nervous about my CD collection, I'd be crushed if somebody stole it and sold off what I've worked so long at collecting.
  14. Happy Birthday!
  15. Damn, sorry to hear it Joe.
  16. I told all the chess players in the office about it and all were impressed by both the accomplishment and Conn's 2004 rating.
  17. Happy Birthday!
  18. Happy Birthday!
  19. Color me intrigued. I really dig a tune they did called "Free & Easy" which I have on a compilation.
  20. Wow, the more I've read comments here and JC, the more I think it's probably in the Yankees' best interest if Torre goes.
  21. I'm more surprised to read Posada might not be back. Great catcher, I'd love to see him on the Dodgers. EDIT: On second thought, we have Russell Martin. Still, I like Posada.
  22. Garnett, Pierce, and Allen were awfully cocky on Sportscenter last night. Garnett said, "we're the Ceatles, like the Beatles with a C." Better put up or shut up!
