    Mike says he's probably on the Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations," but he put down many parts for it and isn't sure which ones were finally used. He's one of the most sure-footed jazz pianists I've ever heard, and a heck of a nice guy.

    FWIW, the Jacobs discs are my favorite Debussy discs of all. It's a mystery to me why the Critical Establishment looks askance at them.

    Favorite all-out blowing version has to be Basie's "Taxi War Dance." (If you don't think those are "Willow" changes, just give the trombone solo another listen.)
