  1. for scientific purposes only... I swear.
  2. When I said "awesome", I meant it in a totally scientific context.... yup....
  3. I don't mind injections for dental work. The topical anesthetic tastes kinda good, and you don't even feel the injection (except for the one in the roof of your mouth; that one kinda 'hurts good'). As for other injections, I don't mind subcu. injections (had to do it to myself for a year, no big deal as long as you have a nice tiny 27 gauge). Not too fond of intramuscular injections. Can't stand to have blood drawn; I have to look completely away and try to think "happy thoughts". What's really cool is watching the injections that were done for cataract surgery back in the day before drop anesthesia was used. Right behind the eye... awesome.
  4. Before I had dental insurance I used to go to the Indiana University School of Dentistry for my dental check-ups and the occasional filling. Very cheap. I'm a little weird; I love going to the dentist. I love teeth cleaning, drilling, fillings, the whole nine yards. I don't mind injections at all, (I actually kind of like them...)and I find sitting in that reclined position rather relaxing. Then again, I usually fall asleep during MRI's.
  5. It's a tight race in the East and it seems that the Shock are struggling a bit, but I still have to give props to my girl, Swin Cash, a fellow McKeesporter. I used to go to every McKeesport High School Tiger basketball game and get moony eyed over her uncle, Lance Cash, back in the 70's.
  6. Happy Birthday! Make it a good one!

  8. Here's Wes Montgomery's Star outside of the Madame Walker
  9. I was down by the Madame Walker Theater on Sunday. Here's the side of the building that I think is rather cool
  10. Ghost: I love the canal too. I don't seem to get down there much even though I only live about a 10 minute drive away. Here's one of my favorite buildings (love the limestone). If you read the NY Times, there was a great article today by Michael McColly, an IU alum, about his annual trips back to Bloomington to go cycling with his old college buddies. He mentions the old Empire Quarry as seen in "Breaking Away" as well as the Buddhist shrines which are so prevalent because of Dr. Thubten Norbu, the Dalai Lama's brother, who lives in Bloomington. 11. ...but did Chuck wear a shirt?
  12. Oh yeah.... Martha's mean... Just seems a little *ironic* that you call Martha mean while you curse anyone who doesn't agree with you.
  13. You made my earlier point. Martha only saved about 50G on the sale, whereas Waksal.... I think Waksal got what he deserved; everybody seems to be overstating things a bit when they make it sound as if Martha Stewart ruined the financial lives of millions of investors with her trade. Please...
  14. Whatever.... I just get tired of hearing her compared to the Ken Lays of the world.
  15. She didn't own *that* much Imclone stock--Sam Waksal's dumping of his stock is what ripped off investors, not Martha Stewart.
  16. Must have been a browser malfunction... Nope.... it was a *rachel malfunction*.
  17. One name for it is, believe it or not, "Beer in the Butt Chicken".... It's quite tasty.
  18. Am I freakin' you out 7/4?...... We had a really bizarre storm blow through, and the cloud formations were surreal. I looked out my window and the water was this awesome shade of purple/pink. The picture doesn't begin to capture it..
  19. That was quite a surprise... I found the commentary to be tedious and overly chatty. Just put the camera on the hitter and shut up! (Tejada is on, like, number 7 and microphone guy doesn't seem to be aware...)
  20. Well, it is Indiana afterall...
  21. My, Couw... aren't you just bubbling over with positivity today.... That pic was taken w/a Polaroid instant camera, so I'd say it's not too bad considering. ... and my cleaning *guy* keeps my windows in great shape, FWIW....
