Good luck to you and your family, AB. I've always enjoyed reading your posts--always upbeat and seeing the good side of things. It goes w/o saying that I've enjoyed your great avatars! Take care...

Happy Birthday!!!

Enjoy your day, Stefan!

Popovich says that the Coaches vote for All-Defensive team is credible (".... coaches won't buy that [campaigning] crap..." ) and the media vote (the recipients of the "propaganda") for Defensive Player of the Year is not. OK, I'll go with that logic. Sorry, Coach Pop, you just contradicted yourself. Rick Carlisle campaigned just as hard for his players when he was coach at Detroit. Didn't hear other coaches whining then. Lakers in 6. (pains me to say it--never been a Lakers fan) No way to stop Shaq.

Hell, I'd trade my willow trees and ducks in the pond in a nanosecond for an apt. in NYC. That's what Central Park is for... NYC!

Yeah, and the guitar player was a Wes Montgomery wannabe. He was the Kenny G of guitar players. Where' s a quality organ trio with a great guitar player when you need them?
-
Just got home from Happy Hour at Rick's Boatyard. We were sitting on the deck, enjoying the sunset and watching the boats. All of a sudden I heard the strains of an organ trio through the outdoor speakers. My ears perked up and my heart beat a little faster. But upon closer listening I realized that it was just organ trio wannabes and just not the same. If Organissimo were here they could show them how it should be done.

I swear to God I was going to say the same thing! It must be true. Either that or Motley Crue actually is Poison ( when they want to "feel pretty"). Motley Crue Poison
-
They are a less obscure Nantucket.
-
Actually, I thought Poison was the poor man's Motley Crue. But where does that leave Warrant?

Love Tyler Florence! He seems very down to earth; right on about him being a total honey. Also love Rachael Ray-- she makes me think I could do anything in the kitchen.. (except I'm way more talented at watching the Food Network than actually putting anything into practice...) Never got the Iron Chef either. It just seems bizarre to me. Barefoot Contessa is another one that I like to watch. She seems like she would be fun to hang with-- she's always making up some big ol' pitcher of cocktails. Also a double right on about Zora being about the cutest baby in the world. Everytime I see her pic I start "baby talking" to my computer. I just want to kiss on her.

You never mentioned that they come in beautiful Shrek colors!! To a woman, candy is a total sensory experience. -
Ok!... you're on....it's off to the T-shirt maker man for me. I guess I need to be more pro-active about getting my mug on camera, though.
-
I love Jack McDavid; I used to watch that show religiously. I could hardly endure Bobby Flay then, and even moreso now. It seems like everyone agrees that Jack is the real deal-- so who the heck is voting for Bobby Flay?

Croshere was lucky when? Detroit was stunned when Croshere started on Friday --they had no idea and weren't at all prepared for the way he made them spread the defense around; plus he was hitting all of his outside shots. Tonight was a different story--he gave new meaning to the word "brick". I was sitting on Rob's (my new best friend...) left side. The camera guy was very careful to only get Rob in the shot--I didn't want to be ignorant and stick my face in there. I was wearing my "I Organissimo" T-shirt too! (if I only had one...) I was all ready to wave to Zora

Austin Croshere is what happened. Too bad he didn't happen tonight. Pat Metheny and Bruce Hornsby were terrific. I sat next to Rob Reiner and his son--they flew in from Minnesota after seeing the Lakers get beat. We talked hoops throughout the game -- very cool guy. Met a few very cool Pistons fans; unfortunately they were outnumbered by a whole bunch of asshole Piston fans. Larry Brown is a f-ing whiner. I had forgotten how much of a whiner he is until I got to see it up close and personal. On to Tuesday....

Nah.....I think your comments are, for the most part, very entertaining (well, except when you insisted on a "Disco Thread"-- ) EDIT: Rumor Mill has it that Bruce Hornsby will be performing at Sunday's game accompanied by Pat Metheny (hear that Joe G? ) I will be there. Hopefully behind the Pistons bench. I was planning on wearing my " I Organissimo" t-shirt ( as well as give Organissimo CDs to the owner of those tix who is so generous) but with B3-ers attitude, I might have to re-think that. If we can't shoot, at least we have good entertainment.

I think nobody wants to go to bed for fear that the board won't be here tomorrow (and it's all been a big dream a la The Sopranos) -
Wow.... is that the best you can do? You must be really running out of material

Word has it that you could hear the crowd roar all the way to Sheldonm's house after Reggie hit that 3. There hasn't been this much intensity between two teams since the Pacers/ Knicks of the 90's. Certainly the dynamics of Ron Carlisle versus Larry Brown, former coach versus former coach, is interesting. Game two will be a different game after adjustments are made. I don't see the Pistons throwing up two airballs in the waning moments of game 2. It's gonna be ugly Part II.
