my favorite Hall album is Concierto released by CTI. recently, i got from a friend here in organissimo an A&M release "Commitment" and it´s really good. a nice surprise. the duos with Ron Carter are very good specially "Telephone" MCO
  13. i really like echoes vol.1 and i hope vol.2 will be released soon too MCO
  14. my father exposed me to classical & jazz music since i was born. i do respect classical music but it doesn't inspire me as jazz does. the curious thing is that my father loves jazz but never had any records of Miles, Monk, Trane or BN records except for Moanin'. i don't think really that this exposure is responsible for my passion as my sister hates it and my mom too. none of my friends likes jazz at all so you guys from this board are my only source for jazz friends! i can't imagine my life without jazz music... 15. so far i have the first 6 issued and Carmell Jones is my favorite one and a delicious surprise for me. the Weston is also better than i thought. the Reece set is coming and i´m really excited to grab this one ASAP and i´ll probably place an order to get the last 4 on a shot Marcus Oliveira

  18. Rooster, i´m with you on this. Spain is one of my 10 favorite tracks of all time and i got this one instantly too when it was available. you have to listen to this very loud Light as a Feather is one of my desert island discs but Captain Marvel is terrific too (thanks to Tony Williams!!!) specially on this new Columbia reissue. My Spanish Heart has also interesting moments and of course the first album of Return To Forever is a masterpiece. the Trios on ECM are good, Friends is great (horrible sound btw) and Crystal Silence is fantastic. Native Sense is also good. from his GRP days i like both Akoustic Band discs and Expressions too, a great piano solo disc for me. the stuff with Origin is top quality and the album Past,Present & Futures is soooo good and too well recorded!! i love his work, i can recognize his distinctive sound anywhere and i do respect his continuous search of different musical horizons. viva Armando!!!
