  1. I have my doubts about this story. I thought the animal in the video looked more like a bat! The grainy quality harkened to the old Bigfoot footage. I think it's a ploy to promote tourism here in Arkansas. Every birdwatcher in the world will be headed this way to try to see one!
  2. The Heath Brothers were the first jazz legends I saw live. They played with Sir Roland Hanna on piano, who has also passed. It was a night I will treasure in my memory. It was obvious all four were class acts and had love for each other, the music and the crowd they were performing for. He was like a kind grandfather who could swing like hell.
  3. Step 7 - The BLING!! (Not exactly the color I was wanting. A bit more silver, especially in lights but it's growing on me.)
  4. Step 6 - Primer
  5. Step 5 - drill new holes for bridge / tailpiece (Thanks to my dad and his drill press. Happened to be on vacation this past week and we were able to drill it when I was passing through town.)
  6. All I can say is WOW! Those are beautifully done.
  7. Step 4 - Fill holes with Bondo
  8. Step 3 - Fill in holes with appropiate size dowel rods
  9. step 2 - sand off clear coat (there's no turning back now!)
  10. Step 1 remove hardware
  11. Well, that's about to change! I am preparing to embark on a refinishing project to turn that darth vader Cort M200 into a goldflake beauty! I have tried to refinish several guitars in the past with not so good results (My best results have come with metallic flake paints) This weekend I bought a book (an ebook actually) which instructs how to refinish a guitar. My error was trying to get too good of a result on the paint layer prior to applying the clear coat. The guy who wrote it gets great results (at least he says he does ) So tonight the black finish comes off and I start! I am also going to make it more PRS like by putting on one of those combo bridge / tailpieces. Might as well while the finish is off I can patch the holes from the tunomatic. To do it properly you have to let the paint settle for a couple MONTHS! I'll post pics and keep you guys updated.
  12. How much do I have to contribute to get the Jazzica used during the sessions, signed by Joe Gloss?
  13. Link to drummers world by way of Ropeadope BUDDY RICH VS ANIMAL
  14. Why can't we all just get along... after all Limon is the secret of Sprite!
  15. I think they are OK on full size archtops but they sure look funny on their Les Paul model.
  16. Does it ever cross your mind when you're all alone in the middle of the desert with a guy with pocket full of russian ammo and a semi automatic rifle that just maybe you don't know him as well as you thought and that... Nevermind, forget about it, I'm sure nothing like that ever happens except in movies right?
  17. 82 and since my grandparents are in their nineties, I could see it. Actually, I hope I do check out at 82. My grandfather has Alzheimer's (not old timer's) and I would prefer to go before that sets in. I'm consuming lab rat quantities of Diet Coke to insure I don't live too long! If I'm too healthy at 60 I may start smoking!
  18. No, What's childish is you bringing the issue up in the first place.
  19. Fifteen years ago my high school offered Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Advanced Math (Trig and early calculus), Calculus AP and Calculus II AP. Bring on your little math program!
  20. Wasn't Linder on that JAZZ UNDERGROUND: Live at Small's disc? I really enjoyed his tunes on that one.
  21. I got a PM from Big Al once (back when I was sidewndr. I think he was trying to reach sidewinder cause I had no idea what he was talking about.) Does that count? Can't get any of you to come down this way ever since that movie Deliverance.
