  1. yeah, read his wiki yesterday. Cool as all get out.
  2. ah right, yes I have some excellent Herwin collections as well. Notable as well for the font, which spells something else when cross-eyed.
  3. thanks. A number of the covers look quite similar but I suppose they probably had the same graphic designer for some albums. I did order the Barbecue Bob LP for a reasonable-seeming price; his 12-string playing certainly was an influence on Mr. Fahey.
  4. Ha - Lloyd N. Ferguson is resting easy now that it went to a good home. My copy is a pretty hot-sounding (maybe too hot?) Toshiba.
  5. I would grab that Barbecue Bob in .05 seconds if I saw it in a bin. Assume Mamlish and Yazoo were somehow connected?
  6. wow -- would love to have heard that!
  7. agreed, it's truly an amazing album. found an OG stereo for cheap years ago.
  8. ah shit. RIP.
  9. ah, I was told it was MP3-only or whatever (when I reviewed it). That's good to see.
  10. Yeah, I really like this one as well -- glad it's (and he's) here. I believe it is a digital-only release. At least that's how it was presented to me in the Universal/Impulse promo packet.
  11. How's he doing these days? I heard he has Parkinson's but beyond that, few reports.
  12. High Tide - Sea Shanties - (Liberty, JP)
  13. yes, I have this and it's quite excellent. Disc one has studio-level sound while disc two is pretty rough. Idrees is spectacular as well.
  14. ooh, his homepage features a Roy Harper "Lifemask" reissue! Now there's something that needs to be out properly again...
  15. yeah, I remember that -- or clicks/scratches in the vinyl (not uncommon on new records these days, unfortunately).
  16. Everything has been mailed out as of today (had to get a bigger mailer for one package). I am all for doing a "5 for $20 shipped" deal on selections from the remaining list.
  17. I've not encountered that particular Dickerson Steeplechase before. Must rectify!
  18. The Brass Company - Colors - (Strata-East)
  19. Sonny Clark - Leapin' and Lopin' - (BN NY USA stereo)
  20. amen.
  21. Great labels and a fascinating character. RIP.
  22. Yes, on Fresh Sound: https://www.discogs.com/Tony-Scott-2-Bill-Evans-A-Day-In-New-York/release/2500212
  23. All sorted, and everything will go out this weekend. Many good albums remain, and when I say "digipak wear" few of these are actually horribly scarred, just a little dinged/grimy.
