  1. Yeah, keep plugging and one of these weekends I'm going to be free!
  2. Hope it didn't do too much damage...
  3. Burton Greene Trio + Keshavan Maslak - Structures - (Circle)
  4. Bump with some additions!
  5. An original of Us Three...
  6. Please stick around! And happy birthday... though I wouldn't want to spend too much of my feted day on these forums! Now: Ornette - In All Languages - (Caravan of Dreams)
  7. Is that Harmonia Muindi "Fais Voile Vers le Soleil" still in print? I remember liking that one quite a bit... have the LP around here somewhere. The Seven Days cycle has some really nice ones in it. "Goldfarb," "Kommunion" & "Intensitaat," etc.
  8. Yeah, it's not bad at all. I'd pick it up if I were you... the LP was gone almost immediately and I got lucky.
  9. Looking forward to the release of this project, Allen.
  10. This is great - I need some more recent Tippett other than Mujician.
  11. Too hard for me. I mean, I thought I knew "shit" because I have a lot of old BNs lying around. Guess not!
  12. Man, it's so hard to see the birthdays on facebook now. Happy Birthday!
  13. Shortly before Malachi passed, I saw him perform solo bass. He was going at it arco, and dropped his bow. Took a moment to collect himself, then picked it up off the stage and went back into it. He - and the audience - seemed rather surprised.
  14. I think he drops the drums.
  15. I'm totally fine with the "period" cover.
  16. I just got that email too. Is this legit?
  17. Yeah, that's a great one. I'd assume Tracey was in for Tippett, as he was the usual "second string" pianist.
  18. The BYG reissue of the quartet is entitled Peace.
  19. I've got an old Conn CD and the King LP. If I didn't already have a digital version that I was decently happy with, I would pick this one up. Of course, most CD's of older material I just keep for the car.
  20. It's funny, I gave it a spin last night for the first time in a while and his playing is like night and day from what he's done in subsequent years. At the same time, the music - and soloing on his part - is very, very clear. He's got a pretty complete conception (i.e., doing exactly what he wanted to do/could do at the time), even if it would change over the ensuing years. Thanks for the refresher, Chuck.
  21. Would love to see them make it over here sometime! Maybe I can get one of the promoters to book Couple in Spirit, no?
  22. I'm told that the disc covering "Free Jazz" doesn't do the scene(s) in Germany historical justice. Frankfurt & environs are pretty much left out.
  23. Ah good, I just nicked that from popsike. Looks like a lot of great photos to come from the session!
