  1. I had never heard Procession of the Great Ancestry until Chuck's CD came out. It's excellent.
  2. Remind me of this the next time you contact me. Haha, will do.
  3. My first Nessa LP was People in Sorrow. Not counting Delmark stuff he produced, of course.
  4. Did the MGM material come from the Brunswick EPs or something else?
  5. I thought you had a copy already?? No, I don't have it in its "real" form.
  6. Dammit, I put it in my "watch" queue.
  7. I dunno - I've bought from that guy before and it's been fine, but I never go below VG++ in buying an LP online. I might pay $500 for a clean one if it were to come around. Too bad I just plopped down a fat student loan payment!
  8. Percy France and Bob Neloms?! Jesus, Allen...
  9. Human Arts Ensemble - Under the Sun - (Universal Justice)
  10. I've heard some things here and there but never owned any, either. Will the Plastic Ono Band reissues include some extra Ornette or John Tchicai tracks?
  11. I just personally don't have the time to contribute to these. Most of my listening hours (which are few in a day, amazingly enough) are for things I'm trying to review. But I always look at what people are putting together on compilations and the reactions to the tracks in the hopes that someday I'll have the opportunity to participate.
  12. It'll go for about $500. Condition could be better.
  13. What kind of problem? I just ordered mine.
  14. Probably licensed the session to BN, right?
  15. Keep an eye out for an article upcoming on AAJ online. There's also an "Encore" about him in this month's AAJ-NY paper. Cleve is a fascinating character. Go onto youtube and search bata to see what Cleve the instrument-maker has been up to lately. I wholeheartedly recommend his Cleve Solo Percussion LP (private-press) and the Savoy vinyl of Good Golly Miss Nancy, not to mention his STUNNING turn with Bill Dixon on Intents and Purposes (RCA-Victor). Of course then he was "Robert" instead of "Cleve"...
  16. Bley can be very bluesy. He's fond of those Ornette-ish phrase turnarounds and is one of the few pianists to accompany him/translate parts of his language TO the piano.
  17. All discs paid for have been sent. Thanks y'all!
  18. With the inimitable Cleve Pozar, no less. Nice one.
  19. Yup, that's a cool tune as well and Jazz Realities is a bitchin' little record. Frank Kimbrough clued me in to this fact.
  20. Me too, but I am not getting them for new PM's.
  21. Anybody who wants the Sassetti and the Naked Future is welcome to PM me for a reduced cost on the pair.
  22. Let us know when you auction the records, please!
  23. Sassetti and Naked Future (w/ Arrington de Dionyso) still available, others on hold or sold. However... there will be more to come later in the week as I weed through more.
