  1. Happy Birthday! Liking the "Old Dog" CD a lot, Karl!
  2. I pretty much wanted to tear bluenote82 into bits but then, I guess he served his purpose. aric is still here as chewy, dontcha know? And we're all the better for chewy's participation, I think. DEEP may have got under my skin but I can't remember.
  3. I don't think I've seen the vinyl before, either, though some of those Marge titles aren't all that easy to find. For PJJ as a leader, the one I come back to often is Trailways Express, on Polydor. Not that it's the "best" but I like it a lot.
  4. It's an interesting one. Geez! Well, I remember it fondly as I used to listen to it a lot. Now: Pharoah Sanders - Quintet - (ESP, w. 55th stereo)
  5. I like that Savage Pencil artwork for the Ra discs.
  6. They do a nice job with CDs and recording - hope to make it to the performance space at some point. Looking forward to the Dixon set, of course.
  7. Are you able to listen to these sides and let us know how the music is?
  8. Whatever comes out on vinyl in 14 years. CDs. All of them.
  9. I emailed Ben to see if I could reserve one about a week ago and haven't heard back. Hope I will.
  10. A little "Paisley Underground" this evening: True West - Drifters - (New Rose) The Dream Syndicate - Days of Wine and Roses - (Ruby/Slash)
  11. I've investigated only a little of his work though some of his contemporaries/followers - i.e Tim Buckley and Karen Dalton I like a lot.
  12. I just felt like the music didn't go anywhere (for me)... of course, it was also culled from far lengthier (continuous?) performances. Now: Pere Ubu - The Modern Dance - (Blank original)
  13. I see Soul Note LPs going for over $25 sometimes, so I guess anything's possible...
  14. The only Stockhausen I listen to is the Aus den Sieben Tagen stuff. Semi-improvised.
  15. Royal Trux - s/t - (Royal Records)
  16. My girlfriend. She sings like Joan La Barbara.
  17. Never had this. How is it?
  18. Have to dig that out again sometime. I remember being 'bored' by it on my last listen...
  19. RE: Rempis, I just got this one and it's a KILLER. The Percussion Quartet sets are also very, very nice.
  20. No idea there... Edit to add that Saturn's issuing of LPs did not exactly follow band chronology.
  21. Other than the Michael Cosmic LP and Heliopolis, what else is there?
  22. That is a great one. I have it on CD.
  23. Great that they are putting the Ra/Black Harold/Pharoah thing. It was issued as a Saturn LP.
