  1. Don't know that one - must be early (i.e., pre-Joachim) ?
  2. Um, he's from Evanston, IL.
  3. Willem Breuker/Instant Composers Pool - the infamous "Chocolate Box" - (ICP orig) w/ both Benninks, Mengelberg, Gorter, Hampel, Braxton, du Bois, and sundry others.
  4. That's a lot of coin for that Transition LP - don't think it goes for that these days. Now: Garbarek/Andersen/Vesala - Triptykon - (ECM)
  5. I liked the show, especially the sixth season. Saw most of the series' run.
  6. That said, I'm still looking for a "Ghosts" ringtone.
  7. I've never owned this and always shied away, though I really enjoy Sart and Litania as well. Should pick it up for the inclusion of "Desireless," at the least.
  8. Haven't spent much time with the Riversides but enjoy his Contemporary material quite a bit.
  9. Interesting band.
  10. I'm going to see it Friday. Is it Chris Noth ("Big")?
  11. I never had "theme songs" on my radio shows. One program I had about eight or nine years ago was called Revolutionary Ensembles. There was no Thom Yorke on it, I'll say that much.
  12. Anthony Braxton - New York, Fall 1974 - (Arista, white label promo)
  13. You're not alone, Chuck. I inherited a copy of it but didn't keep it.
  14. Bob Reid - Africa is Calling Me - (Kwela) w/ Oliver Lake, Louis Armfield, Gustavo Kerestezachi, Makan Milola, Roxanne de Montaignac, King David and Freddy Roach (I assume a different one than the organist).
  15. The Kinbotes - s/t - (Nix Records) Lo-fi post-new wave madness, apparently only fifty pressed.
  16. RIP. At one time, his fashions were really cutting-edge. Not so sure about that in recent years.
  17. Jemeel Moondoc & Muntu - The Evening of the Blue Men - (Muntu)
  18. You should hear Tes Esat.
  19. Charles Tyler - Saga of the Outlaws - (Nessa)
  20. The Curran is a pretty cool one, but as with most of these records, very scarce. I have the Levin on Savoy but no scanner. The internets didn't yield any image.
  21. So the originator of "The Worm" is now worm food? Sorry - had to go there. RIP.
  22. I split my time between Austin and Houston. If things work out I will be back in Austin and would love to hang.
  23. Hopefully my review of the book at AAJ will be running soon. My praise and complaints, fwiw, will be visible there.
  24. Re: McIntyre, I hadn't thought of that but the photos are disarmingly similar.
