Its already 4 in the bay area but we always pay more then the rest of the country. I expect to see 5 by the end of the summer.

If Dallas or Denver isn't going to win a game which they won't you should let my Warriors in. OK. I am not giving up on the Suns yet but man its got to be tough to lose to the Spurs again after you altered your roster to beat them.

I understand wanting to get the force at each base and Howard is a monster but by walking him your putting the winning run on base. I say no.

^ any bonus stuff? tracks, new liner notes? that would be my 3rd copy of that record but... I would probably buy it the day it comes out.

Recent Down Loads And Additions From E - Music

That's the the deal I have. I spent most of this month on The Rolling Stones, since I only know their big hits. Its great to be able to get the mp3s of the Stone stuff I have on vinyl. Make sure to at least get Beggars and Let It Bleed as they are two of the best records of all time, and the singles/b-sides Child Of The Moon, Memo From Turner and the cover of I Don't Know Why (aka Don't Know Why I Love You). -

75 downloads for 19.99 which is kind of too much but based on the 120 records in my saved for later list obviously not enough. -
Big Al, Do you think Wash may not be tough enough or have the right skills to be a manager? Hard to blame the manager when you don't have the pitching or position players to succeed but was wondering what the thoughts on him were in your neck of the woods. In Oakland all the A's players loved him as a coach and I was bummed to see him get a managers job elsewhere. Speaking of the A's, and you never know in baseball, all week the A's can't hit out of a paper bag and then go out and rough up two starters with era's under 1 and take a sweep over KC which has been a nice story this year.

IT'S A GIRL, YAY!!!!! (Pt. II!)
WorldB3 replied to Jim Alfredson's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
Congrats! She is beautiful! Great photos. Now for a name, not to put pressure on her to be a Jazz Organist or anything but Shirley McDuff-Patton Alfredson has a nice ring to it! -
Give him a go and let us know, he is one of my all time favorite artists. I mostly listen to the Bluesville sides these days but the Aladdin and Ace stuff is also great.

^ I was busy most of the day but caught the 4th quarter and the two overtimes. One of the best playoff games of all time. I am rooting for the Suns (since my team missed the cut by a game), it will be interesting if they have the mental toughness to overcome such a heartbreaking loss. They did everything right except for the last three possessions in the 4th quarter where they couldn't score, letting Duncan take the open 3 at the end of the first overtime was exactly what they wanted. Props to TiMVP for making his first 3 of the year. I think whomever comes out of this series will take the west.

I couldn't make it down to Amoeba saturday for Record Store Day but my local shop was having a sale so I pick up the following vinyl. The Abercrombie and Towner is ok, the Albert King is pretty good but both the Peter Green Fleetwood Mac and the Andrew Hill are excellent. Enjoyed the heck out of both of those.

Big John: accent on the blues

Yes indeed! MG Third, that version of Cissy Strut is killer. -
Good review of it here: http://www.popmatters.com/pm/music/reviews...les-from-india/ "In many ways, Miles from India is a reimagining of Davis’s career, a fantasy of what his records might’ve sounded like had Indian phrasing and instrumentation in fact loomed much larger in his work than they did. And while it couldn’t hope to recreate the frazzled, interplanetary craft-ed soundworld of those years, it attempts to communicate with it in the language of a future Miles never lived to see. The end result is an ingeniously conceived and arranged, flawlessly executed, and intermittently blazing fusion appealing perhaps as much to the casual world music fan as the dedicated electric Miles obsessive."

Maybe his ass swallowed it. Ha Ha... seems like the Dodgers m.o, pay someone too much after their best years are behind them, I think Kevin Brown is still on the payroll.

HELP! I need Latin music recommendations!

I just hand this in my hands at the record store and put it back, looks like I will have to go back and get it. It just got the re-issue treatment. -
Its not the brand of ball they play its the east coast media bias on them that gets shoved down my throat. There are lots of interesting stories and players on other teams, great rivalries that don't require the director of Gigli telling me how great it is on a espn promo. Just sick of it.

Wt. Sox lineup is sick. I think you have a reason to be excited this year. Anything your team can to do help make my fantasy of a Yankee-less, Red Sox-less post season I am all for.

Last Train To Skaville and Keyboard King Of Studio One are both ESSENTIAL. Jackie Mittoo was the coolest.

You will be very happy with that purchase. Its was also a steal at 7.99. The Charlie Rouse fan club meets on Thursday nights.

ooh... nice line up with Charlie Rouse, Sonny Clark, Paul Chambers, and Art Taylor. I will have to check that one out. The whole batch looks interesting.

In High School in the 80's I was in a Ska type band (yes, I am old), it was fun. At the time I loved the English Beat and the Specials. Even though they weren't Ska I also loved the Clash when they brought Ska and Dub elements into their music. I couldn't stand most of the late 90's Ska revival bands at least the really popular stuff like No Doubt and Mighty Mighty Boss Tones. These days I stick to the late 60's to late 70's Jamaican stuff (I love most Ska, Roots and Dub from around that time).

Thanks! wasn't expecting this to hit emusic at all. I guess I saw Bob Beldon on it and thought Blue Note for some reason. The samples sound great. Must refrain from buying booster pack.

I love the Shelby Lynne quote! "You can't roll a joint on an iPod - buy vinyl!"
