  1. Read the news of this whilst in London during the week and very sorry to hear it. I think I must have seen one of the last of Paul Motian's performances in the UK back in 2000 (I think). If my memory is right he was in Martin Speake's group - and was pretty low key but playing some exquisite stuff. He will be missed ! RIP.
  2. Total late desperation here BC and 20 please ! Many thanks.
  3. Dixie Deans Roger Dean Pearl & Dean
  4. Chris Huhne Sancho Panza Don Quixote
  5. Shake Keane 'That's The Noise' (Ace of Clubs) RIP, Olaf Vas.
  6. Bo Derek Ravel Mussorsky
  7. Maybe they were wiring up the Olympics today? Totally ridiculous. Amazing that they didn't direct you on to Maplin !
  8. Pacific Eardrum 'Beyond Panic' (Charisma)
  9. As a buyer of the Dean Benedetti Mosaic I have to say 'no'
  10. Sounds like our Channels 4 and 5 ! I remember 'Endurance' from the 1980s when they used to show bits of it over here to general amusement (Clive James used to do a regular feature on it). People in barrels having buckets of cockroaches poured all over them etc. At the time it was pretty outrageous but - 30 years on - with that damned 'Celebrity Jungle Get me Out of Here' programme it has become the norm on that damn neanderthal ITV.
  11. Neil Ardley 'Kaleidoscope of Rainbows' (Gull)
  12. Looks more like a Ladbroke Grove cat to me ! More London ex-Music Halls..
  13. I see the Beeb is in furore over the number of gratuitous F-words someone has put in the new 'Killing' subtitles. Talking of slow TV - over 3 and a half hours of Martin Scorcese's 'George Harrison' is in the frame. Good stuff though. Do they still do that 'Endurance' show?
  14. Kiss Me Hardy Admiral Nelson Admiral Rickover
  15. Scott must be running rampant every time M. Cuscuna leaves the office. Great to see Mosaic nice and active with the issuing of these new sets.
  16. Another mirror
  17. Yes, incredible that so many of those 40 year old sleeves look to be near-mint. Unusual to see that so consistently e.g. for the Lansdowne series titles.
  18. You mean the 'Mexican Green' with the front cover cut out? Maybe an old copy from one of Tubby's ex-girlfriends? It's a scarce one in good condition , yes, but that copy is pretty extreme. The Tubby Tempos are scarce in any condition so, quite impressed just to see them there. Sawanos are the way to go on those unless you are a banker. On the other hand, was impressed with the condition of the Rendell/Carr 'Shades of Blue' - at least, what they are showing of the visual condition of the sleeve. 'Dusk Fire' looks nice too.
  19. I hear you ! Nice to see them all gathered together like that though and too bad there's still some of them to reissue. 'Hum Dono' for starters. If only the selections in our local Oxfam Shops were like that.
  20. His 'Diaries' are unmissable !
