  1. I'd have thought bread and dripping or jam and bread would be a bit cheaper. And deep fried Mars bars for the Scots brethren.. The way the economy is going, these might well be the new staples.
  2. There's a few on there I would like to have ('Storm Warning' for starters). My video would last about 2 hours as I would be taking great care of taking the LPs out and putting them back again instead of flinging them into a random pile onto the floor.
  3. This collection is truly obscene !
  4. Just demo-ing a copy of this one Dick Morrissey 'Here and Now and Sounding Good' (UK Mercury, mono)
  5. Some more interesting thoughts and reminiscences from Tony Higgins here - blog Always thought he had a Reliant Robin and not a Hillman Imp. Good job he avoided that brick heading for Bill Evans' face !
  6. A bit mean in those comments about 'prolix announcements' on stage, perhaps. Better to remember that devastatingly accurate Ian Carr impersonation at the Carr tribute !
  7. Bobby Few Booker Ervin Booker T
  8. Michael Garrick 'Troppo' and 'Black Marigolds' (both UK Argo)
  9. Very good sonics on that Esquire, John. Definitely one to hang on to !
  10. How well I remember that one! It made a big hit when it first came out about 1962. The first Roland Kirk I heard! On Esquire, Bill? (my pressing is on that imprint).
  11. I'm speechless. This is a terrible shock. Really regret now not being able to see his MJQ Tribute last year at Swanage but on the plus side I did get to hear his trio and the reunion sextet with Don Rendell, Art Themen and Norma Winstone a few years ago. Last time I saw him was at Ian Carr's tribute I think. The elders of British progressive jazz are getting decimated this year. Here's thanking Mr Garrick for his superb music though and may he rest in peace.
  12. Edmund Waller Hermione Gingold Newt Gingrich Red Ken Boris Doris Karloff
  13. Wait 'till it comes out as an 'mp3 only' like some of the others for £8 ! It'll be droppping faster than Berlusconi's libido
  14. Huntley and Palmer Crosse and Blackwell Lea and Perrins Regie Perrin CJ Reggie's Mother In Law
