Just noticed that the LA Jazz Institute were hosting this event at the LAX Marriott over May 26th-29th: Big Band Olympics Looks like some great stuff on there. Toshiko Akiyoshi/Lew Tabackin Big Band, Dusko Goykovich Big Band, Arturo Sandoval, Bill Holman Big Band and a Valery Ponomarev Blakey Big Band Tribute. Plus a Clarke/Boland Big Band tribute.. Anyone on the Board planning on going?

Sounds like blocked Eustacian tubes - a common affliction with divers. Should clear OK as the infection goes but try holding nose/holding breath and applying moderate pressure via the diaphragm.
