  1. Yeah - the quality of camerawork on 'The Twilight Zone' early series is the greatest. Love the way they use those unusual camera angles too. For 1959, the production on this one was very advanced and utilised the best of then movie industry production values to give a 'film-noir' feel. Also filmed at MGM Culver City I believe, so they got access to good sets and props.
  2. What IP is that? Not Tiscali is it? Sorry to hear about the access troubles and hope it gets sorted out ASAP.
  3. One of the 'Twilight Zone' Original Series 1 Box Set DVDs. This one had the one where a family escape holocaust on their planet by secretly boarding a UFO - to Earth. Also the weird one with the hitchhiker and the one with the astronauts in death valley dying of de-hydration (made me feel thirsty just watching it). Stunning B&W photography and use of lenses/camera angles to add to the intrigue. This series has held up pretty well over 50 years.
  4. Milcho Leviev Quartet 'True Blues' (Mole) for £5.
  5. Saw her on a TV chat show a few weeks ago and her new album is creating quite a stir. Twenty years ago she pretty well got herself blackisted from TV over here by assaulting an interviewer on air !
  6. 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' (Charisma, 'Executive' version ) Milcho Leviev Quartet (with A. Pepper) 'True Blues' (Mole Jazz). Good find for a fiver.
  7. Ted Heath Ted Heath Heathcliff
  8. How does the sound of this issue compare with the previous Mosaic set?
  9. That's what the UK newspapers are reporting too. What an tragedy. I never did ski at Mt Tremblant but reports I used to hear were that ice could be a problem and it wasn't the greatest of places to let beginners loose.
  10. Eh? The Irish connection eludes me I'm afraid !
  11. Many thanks. I'll seriously ponder it.
  12. Thanks for checking. I'll hold out on this one I think until I find it priced sensibly.
  13. and if anyone has got a spare Stuff Smith set gathering dust, let me know (£ or $ OK, no Euros please )
  14. front row, apparently ! Haven't got my act together yet on Bath but the Dave Holland is a given I think. Maybe also Bobo and Branford.
  15. It's on borrowed time !
  16. That was last year. Today £99.95 = $139.50 / €107.90, still too much for this disc Yeah - I've noticed that the £ prices for UK vinyl auctions have been going through the roof this year thanks to the daft exchange rate.
  17. Check out 'Extrapolation' on Marmalade/Polydor. Great early McLaughlin album - and a very good one for John Surman too.
  18. Pontius Pilate Vespasian Ambrosius Aurelianus
  19. Rendell/Carr Quintet 'Live' and 'Phase III' (both Columbia Lansdowne series, stereo)
  20. Various - 'Jazz Wave Ltd On Tour' (BN Liberty stereo, 2LP). The Freddie Hubbard track 'Body & Soul' is great, the new CD issue of his material from this tour should be a blinder.
  21. Peggy Lee/June Christie Capitol Transcription sessions, CD2. Damn good so far !
  22. I know the £ has plummeted but this price of £99.95 is just damn ridiculous. As is the fact that there is at least 1 jazz collector in Llandudno
  23. Nucleus 'Alley Cat' (Vertigo)
  24. In other words, they are paying you to take the set.
