I'd recommend many of the quartet sessions.

I'm expecting certain of my friends in Europe to buy me these and many others for x-mas. Tis the season... An excellent thought!!

You don't think that Verve will issue domestic pressings, do you?
  16. I'm especially intrigued by the Evans section. There was a Beck discs called 'Seven Steps to Evans' that has long been OOP. I saw Wheeler and Beck do an Evans tribute concert in the early 1991 and long wanted to hear this music. They did a glorious version of Evans' late composition 'Laurie'. Could the DVD be from the concert you saw?

Thanks, John! I missed that thread. Looks like some real fine stuff! ubu I missed the thread, too! I have some of these on vinyl (the AEC's, the Shepp, the Paul Bley, the Lacy's), but haven't heard them for quite a while. [if only my wife hadn't broken my turntable.] Anyone heard the Roswell Rudd or the solo Braxton?
  18. Who'd want to live in a world that had nothing you could complain about?
  19. I remember when I could've bought a whole wall of Saturn LPs for cheap from 3rd Street Jazz in Philly. But I wasn't as interested in Sun Ra back then. I could kick myself. Oh well.
  20. Legit? Mmmm, yeah. What label is it on? I have doubts that its a legit release. (As far as I know, the Horo label owner hasn't licensed anything for reissue.)
