Sad to hear. I was just reading his essay on Dizzy Gillespie in his book "You Can't Steal a Gift" last week.

I'm going to try to make it there tomorrow. I'm hoping it won't be too crazy.

It was an excellent show. The compositions were great, good solos, the band members were having a good time and sounded very in tune with each other. If only there was more room to sit!

In October, Ron S. dragged me out of my cave and I made it out to Organissimo's 10/10 show at NXNW in Philadelphia. They played a great set. I took a few photos. (You can find a couple other photos here.)
