  1. Thanks Amir, I suspected that could be the answer to my conundrum.! I seemed to remember that Steal was the soundtrack to the film long before the film came out. (I have never seen it, hence my query, my wife agres that I need professional help, I mean how many versions of Lovelight does a grown man need to own? ?)
  2. I dont know if I will be picking up the new Rhino/Arista box yet-Too much patchy if not downright poor material from my taste-frinstance I do not share the offt spoken admiration for Mars Hotel which, tho it includes Unbroken Chain also includes the unspeakable Loose Lucy and USBlues-but am I missing something where is the-admittedly piss poor-Steal your Face album?
  3. After reading Mathews contribution, I wonder if we can still buy this set from a Moral point of view? Does this make this set any different from a Proper box, or one of those Andora thingies? Chuck? anyone?
  4. Checked out Wounded Birds web site and in amoungst the power pop and laid back west coast dreck I find the first 2 Mother Earth albums ! Oh happy day!
  5. Berigan, I will try again http://www.crazyjazz.co.uk You willprobably have to e-mail them since these sets are no longer listed. Good luck!
  6. Wounded Bird seem to have a very eclectic release schedule- they released the magnificent Earth Opera albums a couple of years back (off topic I know). Made do with them while I awaited tha Elektra remasters, which finally came out about a month ago.
  7. Clem, I agree 100% on your assements re Lou ,Lowell (and Roy Estrada) and the Buzzcocks!
  8. Spin records in Newcastle, England lists this as in stock! Pity that I cannot afford it for a couple of months, sigh....

    Time

Well, today the new incarnation of the Time catalogue arrived via Hiroshi. This is the first time I have been exposed to this music, have been lusting after the Sonny Clark, Bennìe Green and Booker Little in particular. They sound fine, Scott La Faro on Booker is great! What do other posters think about this music?
  12. This is a facinating thread. How much CBBB stuff is available on CD? And is this Italian material representative? A good place to start? Are these cds jewel cases? so many questions....
  13. Anybody have a spare of this 2 cd set which recently went out of print? I need it!
  14. Thanks Jim, I think that perhaps you are on the right track, I will certainly look at this link. Incidently this is one fine collection!
  15. I recently won several out of print sets in an English auction, I paid 20 pounds a cd, which was the reserve price. Several sets remained unsold. Does that help?
  16. Hey! Whats wrong with the Buzzcocks? (ever fallen in love with someone you shouldnt have fallen in love with...?)
  17. Jim, I do have the set, but search as I can in the booklet I cannot find this information for the life of me! I am a Kenton neophite having just received this box and I dont know where to go next!
  18. Anybody have a album index for the Kenton, Hollman Russo sessions? Thanks.
  19. Dont worry Take5, I got my own Shearing last week! And I do like it lots, urbane and witty. A nice one.
  20. Dunno Chris, you could try www.crazyjazz.co.uk who used to list them.
