  3. RIP, Pete. Jim R, you can still find some of Jolly's leader stuff in print. I bought this one from cduniverse a couple of months ago. I enjoy it very much.
  4. I've not been watching much TV lately. Baseball is over so no watching any sports for me. I usually check out The Wire and Sopranos re-runs on HBO. At night before I go to sleep, I may watch a little news followed by Seinfeld or King of Queens.
  5. Happy Birthday, Paulie.
  6. What he said.
  7. Thanks for the update. I'll be playing with my wizzer until the release......,um....,uh,... of the new cd.
  8. Some recommendations can be found here.... Click Here
  9. Kind of a dicked up deal. I disagreed with hiring the dude in the first place. Not because of his personal problems, but for the fact they the pulled the guy from A ball. Oy of the three finalists for consideration, I thought Melvin was the best choice.
  10. Aw shit, I didn't see the just kidding part!
  11. hehe LISTEN AND SPAM, that be funny Jim.
  12. is there a more appropriately named song than this? Word. When I hear the top forty crap, I don't just walk, I run like a mutha back to my jazz stash. B-) HBJ, clear your ears, take the advice of laying off for a week or so.
  13. I have several that I always seem to fall back on when. These are some more recent old slippers for me.... Art Pepper - Winter Moon Pepper with strings seems to be a real nice fit, this cd is very relaxing to me. This one just has a great vibe to it. Art Blakey - Ugetsu A great live performance, always makes me feel good. Like Ghost of Miles, I have the compilation "The Gentle Side of John Coltrane", also like him I've since purchased the originals, but I still spin this one frequently. Definitely a better best of recording.

    BFT #21

No objection here, just as long as the BFT is comin' from Tejas, I'm good.
  15. Yeah, but nobody knows whats in it.
  16. Good one. Usual Suspects is a great movie (better if minus Baldwin) and Avalon has always been one of my favorites.
  17. I might have to agree with this one. Some of the other choices are strong as well.
  18. I went around 10:00 AM at a church down the street. There may have been 20 people total, it took me less than 25 minutes start to finish.
  19. OUCH!!!!
  20. This one is a 770.
