  1. I'm sorry to see you go, Jeff. I understand the reasons, after all, real life should take priority over a jazz discussion board. (it doesn't for me, but it should. ) I hope to see you back here sometime in the future. B) Take care and good luck with your new life in the new state.
  2. Couw turned me on to this recording a little while back. It is most defintely a cd we should all have.
  3. RRRRAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!!! Happy Birthday, my friend. I know you don't like beer, so here's a couple of margaritas for you.
  4. Same here. I would have preffered something a little more heavy. On the other hand, it could have been much worse. The writers have done their job, as I will be watching when the show picks up again in the next 1-2 years. A.J. will probably be boss.
  5. Got it today. So far so good.
  6. Going to grill some shrimp wrapped in prosciutto, salmon, and cherry tomatos after the sun goes down.
  7. That would indeed be, Blaine Edwards and Antoine Merriweather.
  8. I know they were really popular, but I never understood why.
  9. Word. I've got a buddy in OC having the same problem. You could always try again after the earthquakes hit. Good luck in Reno.
  10. Where are you moving to?
  11. You and me both. I love putting together compilations.
  12. Is anybody traveling this summer, or later this year? I'm taking the annual trip with friends to San Diego Cali the week of July 4th. We ended up with the same beach house as last year, so all is good. Have a major party planned for the 4th! I'm hoping to make it to Missouri in August to visit my brother and my new neice. After that no other real travel plans until the fall, when I make the trek to NY.
  13. It would be an incentive for people to save money. "I ain't gonna spend this, her nipples are gonna wear out"
  14. Is right. We ended up laughing about it a beer or two later. B) * I'm now proud to call her my wife and the mother of the world's two greatest kids. * This last statement is not true, but I wish it was, she's a real looker.
  15. Seems like I remember having a week like that here once back in November.
  16. Agreed!! The worst catchphrase of all time! You have to wonder what these people are thinking when they write this crap. My sister has a friend that is an advertising executive in NY. While on a visit and having dinner with her, I mentioned by dis-like in a colorful manner for the ads being run by the Olive Garden chain. It was the whole stereotypical Italian BS, they would show Uncle Vito fresh from Napoli eating a 5 pound bowl of pasta, some deep fried veal and loving it. The catchphrase was, I think, "when you're here, you're family"! Her response to me and my opinion......, "that is MY account!"!
  17. I'm begging you, please stop rubbing it in! No clouds, no fog, but we do have temps around 110, with an ever so hot breeze. Belive me, Catesta, the fog and overcast gloom can get quite depressing after a while. I wasn't trying to tease you. There you go again! You mention fog and overcast conditions just one more time and I'm gonna..... B) Bruce, I hear you, but sun day after day with 100+ temps, can be a little depressing as well.
