Porter Wagoner in serious condition
catesta replied to rostasi's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
I remember watching the Porter Wagoner show when I was a kid. My grandfather of all people put it on the TV. He used to get a kick out Porter's style of dress. Seems as if there was a spot during the show intro where they did a close up of Porter's boots while he was stepping of the bus. -
To be fair, had Lofton scored the BoSox would have won by 8 runs instead of 9. Maybe, maybe not. Had he scored, the momentum could have kept going in favor of the Indians. We can never predict how that shit would have played out. Reality is, the wheels came off and the Indians collapsed. It would have been nice to see them back in the WS. Everything seems to be working for Boston right now and that will make it very difficult for Colorado who has been playing baseball against themselves for the last week+.

This collapse has been unbelievable to watch. Tt would be nice to see a close competitive game tonight. Or,............ to see Cleveland massacre Boston.

My parents have a small place in Cernobbio, it is very beautiful there. The down side is the ever increasing popularity with tourists.

Tough question. I would be happy numerous places within New York and on the east coast. Shit, I'd even do the suburbs of Cleveland. As far as other places in the U.S. goes, out west, maybe around San Diego. But, if I was to go out of this country... The Ticino region of Switzerland or Northern Italy. Parma and Toscana would do. Who am I kidding? Most any place in Italy would do. Denmark could be interesting as well.

I thought it was 'til the Fat Man pitches? but... Yeah and I read this too and his other comments, so if Manny really feels that way and doesn't care, fine - great attitude. That is a piss poor attitude. Reminds me of when Charles Barkley used to say "hey, it's just a game". It just goes to show you how little professional players really care. I guess I wouldn't give a shit either as long as the big checks keep rolling in.

Until now.

Congratualtions on 50 years, Chris. Besides Uncle George, did you have other family come here as well? Oh, and happy birthday tomorrow.

He'll probably be using them as ear muffs in a month or two.

Yes, when all is said and done, this is what I will choose to remember about that day and what will ultimately help me heal. Duh....I had no idea you were that Rachel!!! Color me stupid... hehe I just clicked for me as well.

Stick a fork in Boston, they're done.

The only thing that might cool off the Rockies is a week long layoff. But I don't see anyone beating them the way they are playing right now. I'd like to see a Cleveland/Colorado WS and I think it will happen. However, I'm wondering if that match up would be a ratings disaster. I would really like to see the Indians win it all. When was the last time they won it, 1945??? Yes, its been a long, long time for Cleveland. Judging by the last two games, and the way they're playing tonight, I'd say this is the year.

A buddy once sent me a cd he made of his own farts and shit noises. I think I still have it if anyone is interested in a trade.

Always reason for concern, but Colorado sitting on their asses is not going to help them. I expect either team team from the AL to be a tough opponent and I do believe it will be Cleveland.

Happy Birthday, HG!

Like everyone else said, sorry this happened to you bro. I've never had my residence broken into, but have had it happen a few times with vehicles and a shit load at my place of business. Although I can say I have not had a successful break in, at either office for more than three years now, so my security system is doing it's job. It's like Fort Knox now with motion detectors and cameras everywhere. When tripped it dials my cell phone and I have the ability to check the cameras online. If I don't answer it rings the cops. Most recently I had a laptop computer stolen from my car while in Arizona. They broke the window and grabbed it. While it was a pain in the ass to start a new computer, I was thankful that was all that was gone. My neighborhood in Queens is very safe and very low crime, so I don't worry too much. The surrounding areas were having trouble a year or two ago with motherfuckers doing smash and grab jobs on houses and cars. We did catch a dude down the street one night hiding under a car. Some kids on bikes saw him and he split. He ended up getting caught a block over. I doubt I can add much in the way of advice, but would say maybe look in to an inexpensive security system or get a dog.
