  1. Coming back to this one, mainly because I've become quite drawn to the playing of Joel Ross and Mark Turner. Jason Palmer "The Concert: 12 Musings for Isabella"
  2. Revisiting this one. I love it. Bob Dylan “Rough and Rowdy Ways” Sony Japan, disc 1
  3. Sun Ra in Egypt 1971, cd 2. Wild stuff. Mastering on this set is very good, getting the best out of the material.
  4. Starting the day off with a very nice recording of Harold Mabern leading a great band through Coltrane compositions. Harold Mabern “Mabern Plays Coltrane” 768×768 175 KB
  5. Lee Morgan “Complete Live at the Lighthouse” Blue Note Japan SHM-CD box set. Disc 3 I needed some bass clarinet in my day! Bennie Maupin delivers.

  11. Warming up the stereo after five days cold. This is a nice one I haven’t played in a while. Etta James “Mystery Lady: Songs of Billie Holiday” So good to be listening again!
  12. Our neighborhood was out of power for five days after a tornado passed by. Most neighbors have generators. It went from a quiet neighborhood where the most prevalent sounds outside were the wind in the trees. . . to sounding like we were living next to an interstate highway! In the last three years we have had three periods of five days or more without power. . . but I still don't want a regenerator. Can't really afford one for the little use and I hate the sound (of the neighbors') and don't want to contribute to the general noise pollution.
  13. Definitely not cheap. And the gas powered ones are like noise pollution.
  14. Me too. Day 5 of no power and water after a tornado passed by though so won't be listening for a while.
  15. Well, glad you enjoy the music.
  16. Sorry to hear that. Their service for cds has always been quick for me.
  17. Yes, pretty quick.
  18. OK, I forgot about that as I ordered about 7 3 dollar cds from the label and I think only paid that one shipping cost.
  19. Actually the cd is 3 dollars.
  20. Walter Smith III “Twio” Nice session. Redman and McBride appear on a few tracks.
