  1. I am re-watching the recent two episodes of Nova in collaboration with BBC/Earth about the Milky Way and "alien worlds." Fascinating is an understatement. Upcoming episodes look fascinating as well. . . next up black holes on Wednesday.
  2. This is one I didn't get to until the 'eighties. It grows on me more and more, even the flute.
  3. No, to be honest I play what I play irregardless of season.
  4. I love this two album set, splurged on it when it was a new Japanese issue, and have had several digital versions. The music is worth having, indeed. And will probably be fine in any of the options. My one caveat is. . .Wounded Bird sometimes gets lackluster transfers and their discs have sound often foundbetter elsewhere. I have not heard the Wounded Bird version.
  5. An intriguing and entertaining CNN documentary and conversation about the Four Seasons Total Landscaping "press event."
  6. Yes, "Barry" is quite a show. I've caught up on "Foundation."

    Hermeto Pascoal

    I can agree with that.
  8. My Dad lost his sense of taste and smell for about three months and it slowly has returned. . . up to about 80 percent now I would say, nearly a year later.
  9. Two cd set of well-chosen material from this period. Not great sounding source recordings but great music. This DALAUDIO amp is really sounding interesting.
  10. Kurt Elling "Superblue"
  11. The Plot Against America.
  12. Listening to the first spin through a new amp I bought as a backup (DALAUDIO STUDIO 3886 R3). Sounding surprisingly good. The ZROCK2 makes it sound richer than it would otherwise. The second disc of the second show from '72. Again. It's a really good one.
  13. Just an amazing event. CARMEN McRAE & BETTY CARTER: The Carmen McRae - Betty Carter Duets, Live at the Great American Music Hall, San Francisco
  14. Headphone listening. . . Barney Wilen "Moshi" cd. . . . Been a while and this is a nice headphone recording! Barney's saxophone sounds here are contributors to a good listen as well.
  15. And it goes hand in hand with the idiocy of believing a BIG FAT LIE from a big loser and it is astonishing how many swallow this . . . and infuriating how many elected officials support and distribute this. It's an awful time for our country.
  16. My two favorite Sarah Vaughan Mercury LPs, both on one cd of a Verve Select box set. First up is "Live at the London House," which is her trio with several horns featured. The famous "No Count Sarah," which has Sarah fronting the Basie Orchestra with her accompanist Ronnell Bright in the piano seat. From this box set Followed by I'm finally reunited with a disc I lost track of, now have another copy, Erroll Garner "1944" Among my favorite Garner recordings, these early performances recorded at the apartment of Timme Rosenkrantz are enchanting.
  17. I wouldn't. It's an amazing performance with sound that I know you have learned how to listen to.
  18. This was supposed to arrive Wednesday but ended up being dropped off at the door yesterday evening.
  19. My copy arrived today, which is better than Wednesday. I'll look forward to listening to it on Monday.
  20. Lucy and I watched "Clickbait". . . they got her with their cliff hangers. . . we binged.
  21. Ben Thomas "Triskaidekaphobia" Ben Thomas (this Ben Thomas) has a few great cds out, this is possibly my favorite that I have heard.
  22. I think Amazon will get there first. Amazon now says Wednesday for me.
