I neglected to add I have all the official product of shows up until Brent showed up. . . nothing after that. Just can't get into Brent and beyond. I just pre-ordered the three cd set of "American Beauty" (ever since I finally saw it, I call this to myself "American Reality").

Chick Corea and Return to Forever "Light as a Feather" Verve Master Edition disc 2 Interesting to hear the tracks come together. I love this edition of Corea's band. From here to Helen Merrill "The Helen Merrill - Dick Katz Sessions" Mosaic Records cd Two incredible albums. Sometimes I wish I could remix them, but the music is wonderful.

Yes I will get the three cd set of American Beauty/American Reality. I don't listen much past 73/74 either, though the official releases do sound so good these last five years or so and are good shows.

First today was Keith Jarrett, "The-Out-of-Towners" ECM cd. RIP Gary Peacock. . . you were a master. Then a very "pretty" session, Houston Person "Sentimental Journey" High Note cd. Then another that fit the vibes above, Kenny Burrell "Live at the Village Vanguard" Japan cd

I may have enough time to get a listen to this one in. . . . Omar Sosa, "A New Life". . . nice solo piano cd.

There were about six complete alternates between those two Legacy cds of the "Plays" albums. There were more alterantes on the first cd releases. Still from the timing that Riccardi has given there's considerably more than twice that additionally on the new releases, and additional material from the Real Ambassadors. As to how valuable they are. .. that's a subjective thing. I bet I find them valuable; I'm going to preorder when I can.

My source were several friends reporting they read that it was a hoax. I think there's a good chance it is a hoax (again) as there is still no real official news.

Now there are reports that this is fake news. . . just as it was in May when it was reported to he had died.

Steve Deutsch Ensemble "Going Somewhere Fast" I got this because Omar Sosa is on the piano bench. . . .

"Tony Fruscella" Japan Warner SH-CD Over the years this one has really grown on me, and when I saw a used SHM-CD I grabbed it and I really like the sound. Tony was unique.

Duduka da Fonseca & Helio Alves & Maucha Adnet "Samba Jazz and Tom Jobim" Special guests Wynton Marsalis and Claudio Roditi This is one of those albums where when I see the cover I want to play it. Expertly played music with that live performance thrill to it. And Maucha Adnet's wonderful singing on important tracks. Very well-recorded as well.
