Well, Florida, I'd say is dreadful from my visiting experience. I loved Hawaii, but know I'll never be able to afford to stay there comfortably, but if I could I would. Those trade winds are for me. Louisiana I confess I haven't visited yet. I will say that I do know a few people from Louisian well, and they're happy, adjusted people.

Oh how happy I'd be if I could afford to move to Hawaii and stay there. Interesting results.

Aric, as is said above, XRCD is a JVC process of handling the analog master and making a digital master and then pressing a cd, a controlled specific process with care given to all stages of the process, to use the best converters, etc. The result is a CD, redbook, nothing different. There's a certain signature sound the process gives of detail and ambiance. But they're cds, fully compatible with any cd player.

I would get what's available. Don't think there's much difference. I've heard both versions, but they were at different times in different homes and different systems, so I can't be certain there's considerable differences sonically. But didn't seem to be. I haven't been able to study the packaging of both, but doubt there's much to bother about.

It's odd that Universal is letting Hip-O do these sets of masters. . . . Well, the European labels can do THAT. What they have a harder time doing is alternates, unreleased bits, etc. Anyway, like you I have it all in the complete set, and I also have a handful of the Verve Japan mini lp releases which I like. I'll sit tight. I did spring for the Ella Fitzgerald set from Hip-O though, that's a gem.

Those Royal Roost ones are excellent. . . they may in fact be my favorite.

I like veggie burgers too. Today for lunch I had the Kerby Lane "Hippie Burger" with added avocado and chipotle-mayo, and sweet potato fries. I generally meet with a group of ex-coworkers on Fridays, and I like it when we meet at Kerby Lane (on Guadalupe).

This week it's been Andy Bey's version of "Hey Love!" on "It Ain't Necessarily So." It's a high point for me on a mountainous album.

Wow. G&M moved to N. Lamar near 6th Street in 1981. It's still there so to speak, but about four years ago changed ownership and management.

I don't make them at home. I eat them out, once or twice a month. Sometimes less. I do like bacon cheeseburgers with cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo or mustard (or both). A local eatery also makes one with strips of sauteed poblano pepperand onions on top, with monterey jack cheese, lettuce and tomato and "chipolte" mayo. Like that one a lot.

Great book, I'm a fan of all his work. I haven't read any of the newer translations. . . maybe sometime this year.

I would wager. . . from vinyl, as it's from an Andorran label, the usual bootleg needle-droppers.

This is out on Blu-Ray now. The sound is amazing! Nice soundtrack to this show.

Yeah, it's a cool guitar, and it wasn't expensive, less than 400 dollars. Like the sound for blues and some jazz. If only I could play better!

It's a strip of flamed maple. Nice contrast, yes. It's a good sounding amp but needs to go into the shop. A friend tried to bridge the two channels like he does on his Bassman and I do on mine and. . . well. . . it sort of didn't like that. Also, the bass tone control is DOA on the bass circuit, which makes it less effective as a bass amp than I'd like, which is a drag as I play bass more than guitar these days. I'll take it into the shop soon. I agree, black everywhere on amps is sort of tiring. Saw a nice green Blues Jr. recently.
