  1. Updated, a few sold. Updated, a few sold.
  2. Bing and Eddie Lang were bosom buddies, and before Lang's death he did a lot of "music directoring" for Bing I think, and a number of instances where he was the central accompanist. What a player Lang was!

  4. Then what's left to sniff? I like being sober and clear. . . and having brain cells! Hip-O Select still shows this in stock and available for purchase.
  5. I have a full-size and enjoy the sound. You'll be like Ron Carter! Quite easily adjustable to your height. I don't learn seriously, have a lot of fun with my bass though, it's not a great one but not the worst I've had my hands on either. Paid 1,000 for mine, used. I think you'll get into it! You've got the right idea: get an instructor. I should some day.
  6. Wow. Glad I got mine a few weeks ago, from amazon.fr, totally glue free.
  7. This was part of the 'nineties ESP releases from XYZ. Nice date.
  8. Hey, that's a "little cigar," a cigarillo I think they're called. (I'm a non-smoker now for 19.5 years, former HEAVY smoker).
  9. Probably lifted it from the Complete Debut Recordings box.
  10. Gets a little attention but not enough.
  11. Yeah Erek, says they'll be defect free.
  12. Many many happy happy returns!
  13. It probably has nothing to do with the Contemporary recordings, as Hindsight never has "crossed over" that way before, mainly using transcriptions or non-commercial recordings as a source. I don't have any specific information about that release.
  14. Sun Ra "Nothing Is" included. Silly me, bought this at Waterloo and already had it.
  15. "Beatles For Sale" (I'm partial to the mono version) has become one of my favorite Beatles lps.
  16. I'll look for the P-V next time i read that great novel.
  17. Many many happy happy returns! May this be the year!
  18. Thanks for explaining, e. Translators can make a huge impact on readability, as I learned recently re-reading Thomas Mann novels in new translation.
  19. When I saw Laczko on Thursday he told me "Damn you Lon! You got me hooked on Lost!"
  20. Many happy happy returns!
  21. Ah, engineers!
  22. Now into Season Two of "Rome" on Blu-Ray. Zuleikha!
  23. e, do you read Russian? That's an ambitious, and I wager rewarding, undertaking. Bulgakov is one of my favorites, I like all his books, Black Snow being my recent favorite. I'm a huge fan of Pushkin too, the "tone" in his work is one I would love to be able to emulate naturally. Right now continuing my reading of history with
  24. "Share Your Love with Me" by Aretha Franklin, which keeps hitting me this week for personal reasons. I realized recently that "This Girl's In Love with You" was the only 'sixties/1970 lp by Aretha I had only on vinyl and not on cd, and corrected that quickly. And got stuck on that song.
