There is an October release of a Monk cd called "Lost Recordings" ahead. . . . CD Universe shows that it has the following tracks among others. . . Fairy Land; Woody 'N You; Just One Of These Things; Day In Paris Any ideas what this might be? (My guess is its repackaged/retitled something from Europe . . . . )

Chris, thanks for the concern. I was in Houston this time last year but since I lost Helen in October last year and no longer need to be there at M. D. Anderson Cancer Research Center I have not returned to Houston and have been here in Austin, retired since May and getting better all the time. As Mike mentions there is little expected here in Austin than some heavy rain. I hope Garth and possibly a few other posters from Houston are well.

Some of my darkest memories too. . . though I did meet my (late) wife there, though we became a couple sixteen years later! So fortuitous in an important way too. Also got to talk to Allen Ginsburg and William Burroughs there one afternoon as well. . . which has never happened since.

Flurin, the most recent Condon Classics is out and has material entirely contained in the Mosaic Condon All Stars set. Well worth getting. . . great sound and playing.

Points well taken. My neighborhood is sadly portrayed by the site. But walk much over half a mile. . . . I average about four miles of walking a day. And there are many options not listed on this site to walk to, bakeries, restaurants, shops and parks.
