  1. Shouldn't this be in the "Mosaic and Other Box Sets" Forum?
  2. Hope you're having a GREAT one, Jim!!
  3. I'm amazed at all the Anita O'Day mentions. I didn't realize it was that popular. I'm definitely going to have to spend more time with it. Top 3 based on estimated playing time (I'm surprising myself here): Gerald Wilson Blue Mitchell Thad Jones (3CD set) Runners up: Jackie McLean Larry Young Selects: Tolliver Patton
  4. OOOOoooooooooh, good for you. That looks NICE!
  5. OK.........now I'm listening to Warszawa.
  6. Speaking of the Black Saint/Soul Note extravaganza, this new addition fits right in (although on Enja): Charles Tolliver Impact
  7. Maynard Ferguson must be hard to come by because it always sells for many 100s of dollars.
  8. OK.......today's the day! You can all PayPal me your presents now.
  9. Anyone get in on the GC 15% Black Friday deal today? Not that great of a bargain, but I went ahead and got the Boss Rc-20XL looper. The discount paid for the AC adaptor and another cable.
  10. George Adams/Don Pullen Quartet "Song from the Old Country"
  11. Not jazz, but just added to eMu: The Fireman (new Paul McCartney project) Jeff Beck live at Ronnie Scott's
  12. Don't know if the seller changed it or what, but the only "Loadstar" on ebay right now is a "Buy It Now" for $59.99
  13. Thanks, guys! You're about a week early (11/28), but WTF........par-tayyyyyyyyy!
  14. I think it's just a matter of time before the entire catalog is permanently available online. I'm not as panicked about BN deletions as I once was.
  15. "Streetnoise" is definitely a classic album. Amazing diversity of tunes. Their 'reunion' album "Encore" has some nice stuff on it, too.
  16. For those who are loving Billy Harper's "Black Saint", you should also DL "In Europe". Equally monsterous (and only 3 tracks, as well).
  17. That's the same month/year as the Monterey Pop Festival which I always thought of as the first.
  18. How are those? Performance, sound quality, etc. I've been thinking of giving them a try.
  19. Pullen/Adams "Live at the VV" is a good one. Needless to say, there's TONS of stuff worth exploring.
  20. oh, nooooooooooo..........this is going to be dangerous.
  21. The Roulette Teagarden set which I recently picked up on sale doesn't grab me much. Granted this is not my favorite style, but I was hoping for something a little more interesting. Need to listen more, though.
  22. Pretty insane............but I have it, so maybe I'm RICH! I also have the Muse vinyl.
  23. Also "Willy And The Poor Boys" by Creedence Clearwater Revival for $1.99. I've been keeping a close eye on the "Today's Top MP3 Albums, Most $8.99 and Under" category on a daily basis. You have to look for albums that look out of place on a typical "Top 10" list - those are the bargain items.
  24. I'll have to do some research to find out what the "XL" is all about.
  25. You guys have the RC-20 or RC-20XL? ... and is there a difference (particularly sound quality)?
