  1. OK.........I succumbed. I've always wanted this set anyway.
  2. He was quite delusional about global warming, though. Spent quite a bit of time the last few years speaking about there being no truth to it.

I liked the note on his website. RIP
  4. Conspicuously absent? Yes. Missed? No.
  5. Check out the Enja titles that just appeared. Great stuff.
  6. I saw that. How are those albums?
  7. In all fairness, it used to be Thursday nights (in the "old days"). I guess tomorrow is a Halloween special event.
  8. Ani DiFranco - "Knuckle Down" (Righteous Babe catalog just added) George Adams/Don Pullen - "Earth Beams"
  9. Hope you've got a heated bench for you B-3!
  10. OK.........so what are you guys wearing?
  11. Whatever happened to Live Chat? Where's the crew? Free, Conn, Agg, Noj, Barak, ... ?
  12. Monday @ Yoshi's: Larry Goldings Trio w/Peter Bernstein, Bill Stewart
  13. Don't know Elderly.......are they good? I Googled their website, they seem to have lots of stuff.
  14. Jorma wasn't a member of SVT. Obviously the concert was so loud it effected my memory too....
  15. Jorma wasn't a member of SVT.
  16. The Patti Smith show was very good. She's not even on tour, but was travelling back from Australia with her band and wanted to do an Arthur Rimbaud birthday celebration, so she booked the date. Did 2 hours + 1/2 hour encore. Very entertaining.
  17. Forgot about Mahavishnu. I'm sure those concerts I saw were EXTREMELY loud for their time. More recently I've seen Radio Birdman a couple of times in club situations, and those shows were pretty ear-bleeding (although I was definitely wearing ear plugs).
  18. Tomorrow (Monday, 10/20) - Patti Smith at the recently renovated Warfield Theater, here in SF. She always puts on a good show, IMO.
  19. Jeff Beck Group, Foghat, Argent - Hollywood Paladium, 1972. "Technically" it may not have been the loudest show, considering improvements in PA systems over the years, but it sure felt like it at the time.
  20. "Late November" is a welcome addition. While not terribly different from the "Northstar" version, it's still nice to hear.
  21. This is a surprisingly strong album from start to finish. It really doesn't sound like a bunch of left-overs. Well worth picking up for any Fotheringay/Denny/Fairport fans.
  22. This is a pleasant surprise! Not quite as good as the first, but considering how little is out there for this group, it's WELL worth a DL.
  23. Vertical's Currency is a good place to start. ... and, yes, that's Jack Bruce on the cover. He's a "regular" on Hanrahan's albums.
  24. FWIW, that album is available on eMusic.
  25. DL-d BH today. That's a no-brainer. Also 3 Vee-Jay albums showed up. Irene Kral "Kral Space" Bill Henderson "Complete Vee-Jay Recordings, Vol 2" Yusef Lateef - S/T
