  1. That's the right URL. They have "Island of Real" and "Peaceful World" CDs for $12.98.
  2. I think "Peaceful World" was originally a 2LP set.

EKE, thanks for resurrecting my thread from the BNBB morgue!
  4. I never realized that all those folks were on that album. I think I had it at one point in the early 70's. I remember that there was a "jazz angle" to it, but I probably didn't 'get it' at the time.
  5. ... or Hank Mobley
  6. Just noticed that the Blue Mitchell set is on the "Running Low" list. Might have to order that one pretty soon.
  7. I'm just messin' with ya', Rooster.
  8. Rooster, you must have forgotten about THIS Conn from the 70's:
  9. As I mentioned in the other thread, I like this series a lot. The lyrics sound a bit dated, but that's OK. There's plenty of good vocals, spearheaded by Andy Bey.
  10. Oh, yeah. There's been a bit of inflation in the music biz over the last few decades.
  11. Nice avatar, Lon!!
  12. Whoa! Nice avatar, Lon!!! B)
  13. Is this what you're looking for? Jazzmatazz
  14. Thanks Alfred. I'm pretty sure it was the same quartet, though: George Cables (p), Rufus Reid (B], Eddie Gladden (d).
  15. Anybody know when this was recorded? I saw him at the Keystone in December 1977.
  16. For the record, that Jones/Lewis Mosaic on ebay went for $405!
  17. You might also consider his new release, which has received great reviews and also includes a few tunes originally in the Pacific collection. Take a look at the Carmell Jones Mosaic Select, too. Gerald is all over this one.
  18. Billy Harper Charles Tolliver
  19. They're very good about that. I got a "Last Waltz" (4CDs) set recently that had one damaged disk. I emailed their customer service dept and they shipped another complete set right away. AND I didn't have to return the bad one.
  20. Yoshi's is pretty excellent. Especially when you consider that there are train tracks about 12 feet from the back wall, and you can barely hear it when one passes by.
  21. They charge tax in California, too.
  22. Great news about the Buckley and especially those Santana albums. I just ordered "Little Feat, Waiting For Columbus (Deluxe Edition)". I think that's a new addition, as well.
  23. Thanks for the "heads-up", Aggie. I'll have to check those out. +++ Later: I just checked it out. There's a spread of prices from $1.99 - $3.99. I would warn everyone to stay away from the $3.99-ers, because after you're through paying S&H, it won't seem like such a bargain after all.
  24. The only one of these that I have is the Gerald Wilson. Definitely a winner. You could pick up his new album if you want a taste before you commit to the box. It even has some of the same tunes.
