    I had no idea that Andy Bey ever played/sang with Blakey. Did he do both? Will have to look for that Cookers album. I have them all. David Weiss is occasionally here on Organissimo , too.

    Saw the Vijay Iyer Trio (Linda May Han Oh, Tyshawn Sorey) last night at SFJAZZ and a little over a week ago at Big Ears. Great communication between these three.

    I remember seeing him at the NO JazzFest in the late 80s. Didn't know much about him at the time, but was very impressed.
