  1. Jarrett was quite a little monster back in the day. One of my favorite "Jarrett with Lloyd" bits is his solo on "Autumn Leaves" (from Dream Weaver). Guy I still haven't been able to find a reasonably priced vinyl copy of this lp in what I'd consider an acceptable condition. The ones I mentioned above are in fantastic shape and sound incredible!
  2. Worth the money? Goddamn they're expensive...
  3. Best wishes, Paul! Cheers!
  4. Oh and you guys are: CRACKIN' MY SHIT UP!!!!! B-)
  5. How will I ever listen to my Journey cds with a straight face again?
  6. For me, getting into Dylan took just one thing: "The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan." The voice, the intimacy (he's right in yer ear...), the imagery ( "lit a cigarette on a parking meter..."), the fingers pointed, the logic offered, the ill-logic offered, the yearning expressed, the humor, the cool-as-shit stereo mix, the cool-as-shit mono mix... Okay, I'm just gushing now... Start here and you'll be hooked for life. I sure-as-hell know I am.
  7. The Who - German "Phases" Lp box
  8. Because the people who get cds from the library spend more time playing Frisbee with the cds than actually listening to them!!! Have you seen the condition of cds at the library? It's not a pretty sight...
  9. Yes, yes it is... I've really concentrated on Disc 3, though. Love those session; what thunderous sound! Haven't really connected with the first 2 yet. Sounds like I've got a lot to look forward to... B-)
  10. Oops, Eric...I missed you subtledy at first...gotcha!
  11. damn fine lady... B-)
  12. Unless he's talking about a bootleg, I believe it's George Coleman on that recording of "Seven Steps." Must be the 2/12/64 concert... I don't think there are any official recordings of the band with Wayne doing Seven Steps in 1964. He specifically referred to "an album."
  13. I just recently traded in "The Sign of 4" and "No Tolerance for Silence." Not worth my time...no tolerance...just noise...
  14. How do they do this one live? It is an "excerpted" version? I doubt it, FFA. Thanks for the review Aftab. I've got balcony tickets for their March 9 show at the Paramount Theater in Denver. Wow! They trade off on instruments? Totally cool! Can't wait! B-)
  15. Sorry, that was a little impulsive...
  16. HEY ARIC! CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE MENTIONED ON THE CD BACK COVER...I FORGET THE NAME...THEY'VE GOT A FEW OTHER BNs AND OTHER COOL FUCKIN' SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I know - that's why I was saying that everything was supposedly sent on the same day. Just seems weird that one selection would arrive over a week ahead of the twenty or so others if they were all shipped together, like the website and email say. I'm sure I'll get them eventually. They may not have shipped together. I have placed about four or five multi-item orders. Each item in my order has always shipped the same day but each item was shipped in its own box. You may be seeing 20 packages arriving at your place in the next few days. Christmas in February!!! B-)
  18. I'll take these two, please. The Javon disc will replace my cdr. And this will be my first BFT!
  19. Awww thanks, but as the subtitle for this thread states, I can't really take credit for the idea. I just thought it would be GREAT to get this going on the wonderful place we call "The Organissimo Jazz Forums!" Can't take credit for the idea, just for gettin' the ball rollin'... Have fun, gang! B-)
  20. Ahhh, this is so cool! Giving really is better than receiving, eh? B-)
  21. Hmmm, perhaps...can't think of a reason right now why that wouldn't be better... What do the rest of you think?
  22. Offer smooth jazz cds at your own risk...
  23. 1. Yes 2. Yes 3. It's up to him. If he don't dig it, he can pass it along. Bottom line: if you claim something, it's yours to keep. But you need to offer something, to "Pay-It-Forward." These are not just "loans." B-)
