  1. My wife collects Fiestaware. And I help her...
  2. Geez, I still haven't picked this up yet?!?! And I've already got tickets for the show March 9th, at Denver's Paramount Theater! Without having heard a note!
  3. Wow, I agree with all o' 'dat! B-)
  4. Hey, look what you guys did! Nice going, you two... Congrats!
  5. I concur with Claude. (I ususally do...) B-) That's exactly what I've found. However, Ron McM did seem to help out the bad tape bleed on the One Step Beyond session that plagues my JRVG. Or maybe I'm just turning up the volume wayyyy toooo louddddd! Ya know, I kinda felt the same way comparing the JRVG of Mr. PC's "Bass On Top" with the version on the Mosaic Select. Less tape hiss on the Select, but I prefer the imaging on the Select over the JRVG. The JRVG seems "narrowed"; the Select is nice 'n' wide...more 3-D!
  6. Will they ship to you, Claude?
  7. Now that's funny!
  8. Have a great day, Matt! Happy Birthday!
  9. Happy Birthday, Marty. And many more...
  10. Happy New Year Birthday to the Jazzshrink.
  11. Cleverer?
  12. That's pretty nice, Paco. S'dat you? B-)
  13. Very nice. Are you referring to a website, Lon?
  14. I just pulled the trigger on the 7 Steps box from yourmusic.com. How could I resist at that price? Alice Coltrane's Translinear Light is coming too, and my music queue will be sending me Velvet Revolver today. Seems like an awesome deal to me. Perhaps I can finally get a 'real' copy of Trane's Heavyweight Champion box. $41.93 as well...Man that's hard to pass up...gotta wait a little while though... And I bet those CCRs are the latest K2 remasters. They blow chunks compared to the DCC golds, which were the best until the new AP SACDs. The problem with all of the CCR discs not mastered by Steve Hoffman is that they use the equalized tapes, not the true masters. These EQ'ed tapes have way too much treble and make them very fatiguing at high volumes. The DCCs or the new SACDs you can crank them as loud as you want and they can take it!!! B-)
  15. As far as solo piano goes... This one never fails to put me into a blissfull, hypnotic trance: This one never fails to put me to sleep:
  16. His online persona, which is all I knew of him, was wonderful. Great sense of humor. (that thread above is hilarious! ) And he was probably the best seller I've ever known. Guy must've been goin' to the post office all the friggin' time. I got so many discs from him it's hard to remember them all. Thanks for everything grey; you were the best... My condolences to his family. I'm sure they'll be missing him. He'll certainly be missed around here. I had been kinda worried...
  17. Happy Birthday, Alexander! Enjoy yourself! B-)
  18. Happy Belated Birthday to : Da Moose!!!
  19. Payment sent on the Mingus! Schweeeeeeet! B-) Supa schweeeeet! B-) B-)
  20. Good for fans, not for the casual listener... Does yours have the heat-sensitive box? Press your hands for awhile on the box and they will change from that dark purple to white! And you'll be able to read all the master-tape boxes... B-) Also, I have no problem with the sound. This ain't audiophile stuff in the first place...
  21. I've been seeing the first 6 in a local mom n pop store in Denver (Twist & Shout ) and they are priced at $51.99. If only people would just go to the website mentioned on the box...
  22. Happy Birthday to one of the best! Hope it was a great day, Couw-boy! B-) :rsmile:
  23. Happy Birthday, Mr. B!
  24. Happy Birthday Doktor D! B-)
