  1. Cleverer?
  2. That's pretty nice, Paco. S'dat you? B-)
  3. Very nice. Are you referring to a website, Lon?
  4. I just pulled the trigger on the 7 Steps box from yourmusic.com. How could I resist at that price? Alice Coltrane's Translinear Light is coming too, and my music queue will be sending me Velvet Revolver today. Seems like an awesome deal to me. Perhaps I can finally get a 'real' copy of Trane's Heavyweight Champion box. $41.93 as well...Man that's hard to pass up...gotta wait a little while though... And I bet those CCRs are the latest K2 remasters. They blow chunks compared to the DCC golds, which were the best until the new AP SACDs. The problem with all of the CCR discs not mastered by Steve Hoffman is that they use the equalized tapes, not the true masters. These EQ'ed tapes have way too much treble and make them very fatiguing at high volumes. The DCCs or the new SACDs you can crank them as loud as you want and they can take it!!! B-)
  5. As far as solo piano goes... This one never fails to put me into a blissfull, hypnotic trance: This one never fails to put me to sleep:
  6. His online persona, which is all I knew of him, was wonderful. Great sense of humor. (that thread above is hilarious! ) And he was probably the best seller I've ever known. Guy must've been goin' to the post office all the friggin' time. I got so many discs from him it's hard to remember them all. Thanks for everything grey; you were the best... My condolences to his family. I'm sure they'll be missing him. He'll certainly be missed around here. I had been kinda worried...
  7. Happy Birthday, Alexander! Enjoy yourself! B-)
  8. Happy Belated Birthday to : Da Moose!!!
  9. Payment sent on the Mingus! Schweeeeeeet! B-) Supa schweeeeet! B-) B-)
  10. Good for fans, not for the casual listener... Does yours have the heat-sensitive box? Press your hands for awhile on the box and they will change from that dark purple to white! And you'll be able to read all the master-tape boxes... B-) Also, I have no problem with the sound. This ain't audiophile stuff in the first place...
  11. I've been seeing the first 6 in a local mom n pop store in Denver (Twist & Shout ) and they are priced at $51.99. If only people would just go to the website mentioned on the box...
  12. Happy Birthday to one of the best! Hope it was a great day, Couw-boy! B-) :rsmile:

  18. It's a great one, for sure Aric. You'd love it. I remember seeing it "back in the day." B-)
  19. Thanks, Lon for the info!
  20. God, I love that cover. Charlie Haden looks like an escaped mental patient! Great music, too! Big for the Sepia Tone remaster. Awesome sound!
  21. I didn't know Water had reissued these Gale Blue Notes. I had only known of the Duke Pearson "The Phantom" and Reuben Wilson's "A Groovy Situation." And those are knockouts! A couple questions: 1) Are there any others than these 4? 2) Who is doing the remastering of these? There is no credit in the two mentioned above. Anyone? Buehler? Cuz I think they sound great! B-)
  22. Happy Birthday, Aftab!
  23. Hope you had a great day!
