  1. I've just started wading into the Lloyd Atlantic sets. So far I've picked up: Forest Flower-original stereo pressing (minty vinyl) Love-In (4 Men With Beards pressing; ) Live at Fillmore-original stereo pressing (minty vinyl) Live in USSR-original stereo pressing (minty vinyl) I'm really diggin' what I'm hearing. Nice to hear Jarrett playing on the edge... But this morning, after reading this thread, I put on Forest Flower after hearing all the praise. I had just played the Canadian pressing of Genesis' "Spot The Pigeon" EP and forgot to change the speed from 45rpm to 33& 1/3 rpm. I thought they had all gone crazy! Jarrett's solo on the first track is wild enough at the correct speed; at 45rpm, it's out of the stratosphere! B-)
  2. And the disc goes to: etherbored!!! Enjoy it -e-. Just remember to "Pay-It-Forward." B-) P.S. Just to make things more clear...if you want to claim an item offered in this thread, you must offer up something once you receive your item. However, you need not claim something to offer something. You may offer something at any time. It just may drum up a little good Karma for you... P.S.S. Thanks for pinning this topic...seems we're off to a good start!
  3. P.S. If the moderators can make this a "sticky", that'd be great!
  4. Howdy guys & gals, If you're feeling a little down and out, how's about a free cd to cheer you up? The rules are simply this: Post a cd (or lp, books, etc.) in this thread to give away. If you claim one, you need to pony up one for someone else...Kapish? I'll start: Up for grabs today is Disc 3 of the Grachun Moncur III Mosaic Select. This disc contains the complete albums "Hipnosis" by Jackie Mac & Moncur's "Some Other Stuff." My wife got me this set, but it had two Disc 3s. I will also include the complete booklet for the Select as they sent me a new one with my replacement disc, as the original one has a slight bend on the lower right-hand corner. It has the back insert for Disc 1, but the front liners are correct for Disc 3. Goes to the first PM!!! I look forward to seeing what you guys offer... Y'all have a real nice day, ya hear!
  5. Oh, the humanity!
  6. Do not trust Couw-boy's digital trickery and tomfoolery... B-)
  7. Mine arrived Monday. #926.
  8. Yep, Chamber is indeed white. I only have 1-8, plus #16 arrived Monday... Someone, talk me into the 7 I don't have yet...
  9. I've been finding some sealed BN reissues that have 1993 date on them. Dead wax says "Mastered by Capitol" and has "Wally" next to it. Must be Wally Traugatt!! I've picked up "Sweet Honey Bee" and "Let 'Em Roll" and they both sound great to my ears, on my system. Do you guys have anymore info on these, and could these be the ones at vinyl.com? I hope so, as I just dropped $100 on 'em (and others...) B-) P.S. Darn you Dan!
  10. Best wishes Mike! Sounds like you had a nice day... B-)
  11. Ahhh, such a beautiful cover on this one... Good luck with the sale, skeith...
  12. Beautiful photos there, Mark. I'm not sure which I like best; the color photos or the B&W's. Incredible, breathtaking...can't beat those picks of Lou D! Awesome layout, Jeff. Color me impressed!
  13. Nevertheless, I suggest we not tell Aric about this... Now that's funny! B-)
  14. And today I held a VG+ original mono copy of "I'm Movin' On" in my hands...it was $25...and I passed on it... -_- Damn, I sure hope it wasn't my fault... Gee, I wonder if it'll still be there tomorrow?
  15. Happy Birthday to Tod! Enjoy!
  16. My wife collects Fiestaware. And I help her...
  17. Geez, I still haven't picked this up yet?!?! And I've already got tickets for the show March 9th, at Denver's Paramount Theater! Without having heard a note!
  18. Wow, I agree with all o' 'dat! B-)
  19. Hey, look what you guys did! Nice going, you two... Congrats!
  20. I concur with Claude. (I ususally do...) B-) That's exactly what I've found. However, Ron McM did seem to help out the bad tape bleed on the One Step Beyond session that plagues my JRVG. Or maybe I'm just turning up the volume wayyyy toooo louddddd! Ya know, I kinda felt the same way comparing the JRVG of Mr. PC's "Bass On Top" with the version on the Mosaic Select. Less tape hiss on the Select, but I prefer the imaging on the Select over the JRVG. The JRVG seems "narrowed"; the Select is nice 'n' wide...more 3-D!
  21. Will they ship to you, Claude?
  22. Now that's funny!
  23. Have a great day, Matt! Happy Birthday!
  24. Happy Birthday, Marty. And many more...
  25. Happy New Year Birthday to the Jazzshrink.
