Now on my turntable:

Ed Bickert / Don Thompson (Sackville, 1978)

Subtle, lovely music.

Stickers on the cover and labels inform me that my LP was formerly property of the Duquesne University Library.  However, it doesn't appear to have been checked out much.  The vinyl is very clean.

Just finished - Red Garland - Red Alert (Galaxy). Noisy pressing. It looks spotless but plays with quite a bit of low-level crackle in spots. It probably needs a good cleaning but I never did buy one of those things. :)

Now playing: Booker Ervin - Down In The Dumps (Savoy). I found a RVG cut from the late 70s. Record looks unplayed.

Never seen that sleeve, much better than the Storyville issue.  Great album, I love Shepp shouting the time change on Trio during his solo. (Five Five!). Moses dominates on drums. Great drummer who doesn’t have a big discography to his name.
