Dan Gould Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 I was inspired to start this thread when I raided the easter basket my wife brought home from work. So I voted for bagels and lox. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 Jack & Coke, no question. You don't know jack! Quote
jazzbo Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 Peanut butter and chocolate. Pain au chocolat with some natural peanut butter on the side to spread on impulse is great too. Quote
JSngry Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 ...some natural peanut butter on the side to spread on impulse is great too. You'd spread p-nut butter on this? Sacre blue cheese! Now, Skippy on Monk I could see... Quote
JSngry Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 Jack & Coke, no question. You don't know jack! Well, not in the biblical sense, but otherwise... Quote
Big Wheel Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 A tie between bagels/lox and pastrami/mustard. (Assuming the mustard is Gulden's or another brown deli mustard.) I think I'm going to go with the pastrami on a technicality--I prefer straight-up smoked salmon to lox on a bagel. Lox is a bit too salty and slimy. The pastrami sandwich at Katz's Deli in NYC is a cliche--but it lives up to the hype. Possibly the most expensive sandwich I've ever had, but also possibly the very best. Quote

Big Wheel Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 Man, that brings back some memories. My grandma used to stock Faygo Red Pop in her pantry. (The bottle looked very different from that one, though.) I think she got it at Winn-Dixie. Do they still make the stuff? Quote
Alec Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 my vote: Gin and tonic or Gin and vermouth!!! Quote
Jazz Kat Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 Vodca and something else, what was it?? I'll ask John Bonham. Quote
jlhoots Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 Chocolate & lemon or Bombay Sapphire Gin & ice cubes Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 (edited) Chocolate Ice Cream and Root Beer Floats are great, but blending them togheter -- into a sort of "shake" -- is even better. Edited March 27, 2005 by Rooster_Ties Quote

maren Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 A float made with... Orange Pop and Chocolate Ice Cream! Mmmmmm! Chocolate and orange was my first thought, too, when I saw the thread title -- but more like this: Chocolate and raspberry's not bad either... Quote
