chris olivarez Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 I'd really like to have a complete Charles Lloyd + Chico Hamilton on Columbia select or big box. Guy ← Is Gabor Szabo on these albums? ← Szabo should be on most of the Chico albums and on Lloyd's first album. Lloyd's second album for Columbia was with Herbie, Ron and Tony IIRC. Guy ← Cool!!! Thanks. Quote
AmirBagachelles Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 Four John Carter - Bobby Bradford LPs: two on Flying Dutchman incl seldom heard (never on CD) Self Determination Music, two on Revelation, including seldom heard Secrets, liner notes of which talk about good unused alt take(s). MC said he would look into this in an e-mail earlier this yr. Quote

kulu se mama Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 How 'bout Complete RCA Akiyoshi-Tabakin Big Band? that is one of only 3 suggestions i've ever made to mosaic. the other 2 are sam rivers blue note and byrd/adams blue note. i think they might have been working on the latter 2 before i made the suggestion, but i am still hoping for the akiyoshi box. that would be my first pre-order. Alfred Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 How about a Mosaic set covering the seven ATLANTIC LP series "Southern Folk Heritage"? Sounds of the south (1346) Blue ridge mountain music (1347) Roots of the blues (1348) White spirituals (1349) American folk songs for children (1350) (?) Negro church music (1351) The blues roll on (1352) Quote

LAL Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 Aside, still waiting for a Hawk set. ← Containing what? ← Oh just a silly wish for a live and studio Verve set - something along the lines of the Basie Verve/Clef (well not quite). I know most/much of it has been released already, with some albums still in print. A Mosaic would be a convenient way to have them in one set. Again, just wishful thinking. Quote

jazzscot Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 I would like to see a Mosaic Set for a musican that seems to be forgotten these days, one of MONK's best Tenor Sax players "Charlie Rouse" Quote

clifford_thornton Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 I think it's been stated elsewhere, but a set of the Braxton Aristas might be nice. Weren't the Revelation Carter-Bradford LPs reissued by Hat? Quote
ghost of miles Posted June 20, 2005 Author Report Posted June 20, 2005 I think it's been stated elsewhere, but a set of the Braxton Aristas might be nice. ← Now that Sony's merged w/BMG, this might be more feasible. Quote
king ubu Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Should I run and grab this: http://www.mp3.com/albums/103426/summary.html I assume this would be part of the future Mosaic? Worth 10 € if it's still at the store? Quote
jazzbo Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 IF they do a Mosaic, that would be a part of it. It's a FINE album! Quote

jazzbo Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Hmmmm. . . on second thought WHO KNOWS if this would be on the possible Mosaic; depends if they do a Quartet Mosaic or a plain ole RCA Burton Mosaic. It's well worth getting in either case. Quote
chris olivarez Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 Once again I hope a Burton Mosaic is in the pipeline. Quote
