Big Wheel
The part starting around 6:35 just kills me. Everything was cooking along nicely but without anything getting too serious, and then the groove just gets an extra shot of intensity right there. Matthew
Oh, just because I've been watching Eleanor Powell clips off YouTube all afternoon, and she is so beautiful, graceful, wonderful, and with Fred Astaire, they were equals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTN-NPtNOHU&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSCAkqT4UBc&feature=related
mikelz777
Oh, just because I've been watching Eleanor Powell clips off YouTube all afternoon, and she is so beautiful, graceful, wonderful, and with Fred Astaire, they were equals. She was indeed beautiful, graceful and wonderful but Fred Astaire's equal? Hmmm... she's good, but I don't think I'd take it that far. brownie
George Adams could really play... with the Gil Evans Orchestra at the 1976 Warsaw Jazz Jamboree. That's Sue Evans on drums. Don't think she were related to Gil Evans!

Don't think she were related to Gil Evans! Adams was the best thing to come out of Covington, Georgia. The tune is Billy Harper's "Thoroughbred." Thanks for the link. Matthew
I'm obsessed with Roman Holiday's Cookin' On The Roof album. Speaking of Roman Holiday, I always think of this band too, part of that whole Sailor/Dockside band thing England had going on at the time.
