Ebay craziness

Recommended Posts

Makes my $65 purchase at Disk Union look pretty good. :P

Not to mention the $96 I think I paid when it was on the 'Running Low' list

500$ and he gets a box with an acidic spot right over Chico's face? :P

Uh, imagining this and the Thad/Mel could bring me 1000$... crazy!

USED Hank Mobley that sold for $125.50 PLUS shipping, and the listing even quotes from and CITES the Mosaic web site! P.T. Barnum's famous quote is alive and well.

Maybe he was hoping for that light-brown patina?

Please! When it costs an extra $30, we call the color sepia.

sorry, I don't understand:

The Sheldon LP "Get out of town" went for $94.90.

I am just looking at a l0" LP - "Albert Nicholas" in Poland (live concert)

recorded 1957 or 58 I think.

MUZA Polska Nagrania L 0161 sealed, never opened.

I understand this is a collectors item in Poland. This is from the communist era.

WOW $ 94.90 for Jack Sheldon. I must be sitting on a gold mine.

Sopot Jazz Festival 1957. Not much of a collectors item I'd think; I had two copies and gave one away... Strange that you mention its being sealed, I can hardly imagine these were ever sealed originally. Is it in one of those flimsy generic covers?

No, it's in color, abstract design by Roslaw Szaybo.

I still think it's a collectors item (in Poland).

dunno who designed it, but mine looks like the attached pic. The other one had a different cover I remember, but similar. Also without any specific text and a hole in the back so you can read the label. Were there more than one release with different looks maybe?

Some Mosaic lunacy:

Maynard Ferguson CD set is going for over $500 and still has 10 hours to go!

Master Jazz Piano box (vinyl) went for $255...not too crazy, but I scored a copy of this just a couple weeks back for under $100! Go figure...

[Albert Nicholas on Muza]

interesting, thanks for the clarification. Another 10"LP, Willis Connover presents some Polish musicians, I also know to exist with two different covers, one generic and one with text and picture. I wonder whether the nice one may be for the foreing market. To add, other Muza disks I have seen multiple copies of had different font-types on the labels.
